Record number: 10859 Title: Alias Medium: TV Series Actress: Jennifer Garner, Lena Olin aka Lena Olin-Hallström Description: Episode: "Passage", Part 2 (2.9) At about 11", Irina Derevko (Lena Olin) is locked into a round plastic container on the back of a beat up old truck. She is wearing indian clothing, jewelery and a red choker. 29 minutes into the episode, Sydney Bristow (Garner) is locked into a cage. She has her wrists handcuffed in front and is also wearing leg irons. From her cell, she watches the bad guys "talking" to her father in another cell down the hall. There are some shots of her looking through the bars and a glance at her cuffed wrists and ankles. Wearing fatigues. 39 minutes into the episode, Irina, now in prison clothes, is led back into her cell. Wrists are handcuffed behind her. The handcuffs are removed and she is locked into the cell. Editor Note: Be advised there may be some cutting since the episode first aired, and some of the scenes are not airing as described. -------------------------------------------------------------- To the Editor: Sir, I know I caused that "editor note" by making some suggestions that may not have been quite clear. The note is meaningless. I still have the whole episode on tape; the description is correct, and I have no reason to beleive anything was cut out from the episode. Therefore, instead of that editor's note, I suggest the following be added to the present description : "It should be noted that the women's restraints are barely shown, if at all. In the second scene, we see Sydney sitting in her cell, legs crossed, hands in lap, her back against the wall- The camera quickly zooms in on her. If you recorded this sequence, and watches it frame by frame, a few frames will -barely-show that the actress IS wearing handcuffs and leg irons. It can't be seen during normal viewing. We know Jack unlocks Sydney's restraints by the movements of the character's heads and shoulders, and by the characteristic clicking sound of cuffs being unlocked. Same with the Irina scene: here we don't see the cuffs at all (but position of upper arms and the sound tells the story)" end That way people won't be disappointed. BTW I have 20 new entries or corrections coming up.... |

| To the Editor: Sir, I know I caused that "editor note" Did you read this post in response to your's back when first brought up? ==== "Hmm... not sure what you're watching this on, but the restraints are easily visible in the clip I have, although it may be a higher res clip than what your source is. The scene is short, but here's 3 quick image caps (compressed to hell, but even with the noise...) from the scene. I thought the short bit was covered by "glance at her cuffs" (or whatever language I used), but I guess not. Now, granted, the resolution of these caps exceeds the resolution of your tv by a fair bit, so unless you're watching this scene on a computer screen from a dvd, you probably will be dissapointed.
