[8760] Mosura (1996) aka Rebirth of Mothra
Record number: 8760

Title: Mosura (1996) aka Rebirth of Mothra
Medium: Movie
Actress: Hitomi Takahashi

Description: While her young daughter sits transfixed on the couch, the victim of some spell cast by a teeny evil sorceress, Mom is shown behind it: wrists bound behind with jumprope, legs wrapped with the vacuum cleaner cord (vac still attached), and cleavegagged with a scarf. I'm guessing she got that way via her young'un, at the bidding of said baddie.

Meanwhile two fairy types on Mini-Mothra battle her and her ray-spewing flying monster. Much property damage to the house ensues.

Gotta love kaiju.

Anyway, ultimately her son frees her wrists and ungags her, and she untangles herself from the vac cord.

The sequence begins around the 20' mark (with ads), and lasts about five minutes.

From caps I've seen at HtF's site, it appears at least one shot (of Ms. Takahashi bound behind the couch, seen through the back window) was axed from the SCIFI airing I watched.

I had notes about this. Being reviewed

Notes about the omission? As I recall, HtF has a cap of the boy outside the house seeing his mom behind the couch. That shot didn't show on SCIFI ... the sequence I saw begins with a panning shot from her legs up. Check the cap set at my site.

[10255] Law
Copy and paste fix. Added actresses, another scene.

Actresses - Karen Young, Marlee Matlin

At the very beginning (about one minute) of the episode, we see Christina (Karen Young) lying on bed naked, face down, her wrists handcuffed to the headboard and a plastic bag over her head. The maids who discover her think she's dead, but she turns out to be still alive. Very brief scene, and nothing is visble of the woman but her naked back.

19 minutes in w/o commercials, you see Dr. Amy Solwey (Marlee Matlin) getting arrested by the SVU team.

Yes,
been changed around.
The scene with the (son?) looking in at his (mother?) through a sliding glass door was confirmed in other airings.
So changed to a warning about that particular channel.

Dokey. To be clear, the boy's definitely her son, and IIRC it's a large window extending to the floor rather than a glass door.

Did a little tweaking on the entry ... hopefully it reflects the reality of the sequence.
