If history is any indication, the kind of person who posts this request is the kind of person who's just going to lose the link again anyway next time his computer crashes. Yeah, it's a command-line program that needs (at the very least) the address of the page with the video you want to download as an argument, so just double-clicking to run it with no arguments won't do anything useful. You need to install it somewhere on your PATH (the docs say NOT to use C:\Windows\System32) and then run it by typing something like this at the Windows Command Prompt: youtube-dl https://youtu.be/o-X3VSba1Ek I've only used it on a Mac, but this should be pretty much the same regardless of platform. |

Then I pasted youtube-dl into the C: drive folder shown when I opened Command Prompt. Then I followed your example and hit enter. It is currently downloading the file. Thanks so much. |

| This channel which reliably uploads “independent movies” (I feel that’s very generous to them given the quality) every year with full treatment scenes is currently in the middle of releasing their latest film, an episode about every two days. Sadly, they are quite a ways through it and it hasn’t even come close to a scene. Looks like the well has run dry on this channel. |
