Could you put it on Megaupload instead? I think it'd be easier that way, rather than trying to send a large file through e-mail clients. If it needs splitting up under 1GB, use the handy HJSplit utility: http://www.hjsplit.org/ Really appreciate the help, though. That scene, in HD, would be awesome to have. |

| A huge thanks to DAK for providing the source material above! Really cannot thank him enough for that, so all credit goes to him. Techno-babble mode on now: OK, so this one initially had me scratching my head for a while because the lossless Huffyuv codec had been used during the transfer (as opposed to lossy MPEG-2, which is more standard & manageable). As a result, the filesize was unnecessarily massive, which meant that an encode simply HAD to be done. What I did first was use Handbrake to create an H.264 stream at an acceptable ABR two-pass bitrate of 3000kbps. I don't think much, if any, quality was lost from the original. Plus it did an auto-crop which got rid of the black borders, making the clip look all nice & widescreeny. Audio-wise, because the MP3 stream needed a large boost of volume, I re-encoded that using an ancient version of GoldWave. Both audio & video were then MKV'erized the usual way. For the record I absolutely LOVE this scene, even more so now in high quality. I think Jessie Gold's on-screen gagging is all kinds of cute (the visual of a thin white cleave never gets old), not to mention the mmpphhing: |
