A good example of this is the That Darn Cat! remake, where the fullscreen version revealed more of Christina Ricci's bound body. |

| This MARATHON of a scene is instantly one of my all-time favourites. Beautiful girl, schoolgirl outfit, Chloroform, tape gag, handgag, hands-behind-back chairtie, MANY ungaggings and re-gaggings, running while bound, carrying, damsel trying to make noise while the villain is on the phone to her family, and TWICE trying to make noise when somebody came to the door. The ONLY negative about the scene is the poorly tied hands, making the scene at the end a bit laughable when she's cutting through her bonds on a nail (and she could have just slipped her hands out). Nevertheless, this bad boy gets a 9.5/10 from me. I've found this to be pretty common: a director, stagehand doing the tieing (or whoever is responsible) gets everything right (facial expression,mmmmmfphing, gag)*until* you see the most vital thing that keeps her in that situ-DID-ation, her hands, then...the big letdown -- laughable ropework! ARRRRGH! And yes, to give the actress enough room to cut herself loose, they sometimes leave the ropes so loose that she struggles to keep them from falling off. |
