Record number: 11574 Title: Battlestar Galactica (2003) Medium: TV Series Actress: Kate Vernon Description: Episode: "Final Cut" (2.8) About 45' in, Colonel Tigh discovers his wife Ellen (Vernon) lying on the floor of his stateroom, bound hand and foot (wrists behind back) and gagged with duct tape wrapped tightly around her head. The scene, just before the ad break, is quick. Shortly after the break, around the 50' mark, Tigh is threatened at gunpoint by a soldier distraught over his superior's actions. There are intercuts, including some closeups, of Ellen struggling and mmpphhing. Tigh manages to talk the soldier out of fragging him, and as he's led away, the colonel frees his wife. This second part lasts about two minutes, and the total scene length is around 3mins. Ms. Vernon looks quite lovely in her all-pink outfit consisting of a chemise top and flouncy miniskirt with heeled sandals. Title: One Life to Live Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Karen Witter Description: The first actress to portray Tina after Andrea Evans left the show had a lengthy scene in the early 1990s but most of it wasn't seen in most of the country due to a news interruption. Tina and male sidekick were knocked out in a bedroom, bound and cleave-gagged, then moved through an open window by the bad guys. This is when the news cutin occurred and deleted the final 40 minutes of the Friday episode. When scene resumed on Monday, Tina and sidekick were bound and gagged, this time with light white tape, in a moving truck. Tina quickly worked free and ungagged herself and male sidekick. Brief, distant shot of Witter tape-gagged and semi-closeup of her slowly peeling tape off with good sound effects. Why the gag type changed has never been detailed due to missing segment. |
