If the casting alternatives mentioned in the IMDB trivia had happened, it may have been the greatest scene of all time. Picture this scene with Jayne Mansfield as Ginger in slinky dress(she rejected the role) and Raquel Welch as Mary Ann in t-shirt and shorts (she auditioned for the role). Though Louise and Wells did fill out the roles (and costumes) pretty well, this pairing would have been epic. |
