Sunday May 22 03:13:37 2011 Followup to Sam |
Hi Sam, following up on your advice earlier. Found it very helpful. Ive pulled the VOBs off the disc and have I've tried to edit using videoredo, but having a snag sometimes when editing. It jumps around and often the frames that are displayed in the bottom don't match up with what's in the editing window. Ive run into the same problem pulling them right off the DVD and also using DVD decrypter. Am I missing something here that causes this to happen? |

Found this - not sure what it is from. French? Girl tape gagged, has tape removed and spits out a wad of cloth. Later chloroformed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uK-7nPRJQo8&feature=related |

Editing raw MPEG-2 is an extremely delicate process no matter what program is used; much more so than H.264 (MKV, MP4) or Xvid (AVI). I could try to go into huge amounts of detail on how to do it right, but in this case I'll have to be blunt and advise you to find out the best methods on your own, if you're really serious about uncompressed DiD scenes. The only way I ended up becoming knowledgeable on this stuff was through trial & error, and a whole lot of patience. All I can say is that the settings on VideoReDo that best correspond to sync issues (like the ones you're having) are Options > Stream Parameters > Detect/resync missing frames. Here you'll see 3 choices, with each giving different results depending on the problem. Again, trial & error is the only way to go about it. Usually "Ignore" works best, but often the problem is bad enough to warrant the other 2 (such was the case with Endure, which was by far the worst batch of MPEG-2 I've ever edited). Like I keep suggesting, though: if anyone has VOBs from a DVD that they'd like to edit but don't know how, just upload them to Megaupload (yes, I mean the full 1GB files) and I can give it a try myself. Less hassle that way. Obviously you'd get all the credit for originally providing the material. |

Have you seen this movie? There is a b&g did's scene, and Alison Carroll (the last Lara craft) stars in it. I want to know if she receives some bondage in it. |

I do plan to learn what I can by experience as much as possible, so I'm happy with these general pointers in the right direction letting me know where in the program I need to go to experiment. Once I get the basic hang of it I'll be able to pick up the rest of the finer points from trial and error. And thanks for the offer to edit them, but I do want to learn how to do it myself for the fun of the editing process. Thanks again Sam. |
