| That is pathetic. You don't need to be a DID lover to know that this gagging is unrealistic... Would it kill those Hollywood "Big Shot" to film the scene over again untill he will gag her properly? Some lazy directors think that it doesn't matter but the viewer is not that stupid. Why the actress and the actor gagging her can't do it right? Bunch of lame amatuers, they don't belong in TV or movies. |

The goal of a producer or director is not to give us realistic gagging action. His goal is to wrap up the production quickly so that the production company makes money on the deal. Realism in bondage or anything else is not really happening on the average scripted show. |

Some need it, some don't The actress can make a fair to middling gag into a fine scene if she's talented. She can also make stuffing and a wraparound tapegag into mush if she just sits there staring as if she's about to take a nap. |

I didn't asked them to gag her with microfoam tape or to stuff her mouth and use more tape. In TV world one piece of tape is a gag and I like it. it does bother me if the damsel is tied hands in front or she is gagged and not tied, but this one wasn't even on her mouth and it was very visible. The scene was better off without that gagging, it was better if they just pull her in their van with no gags or ties. I don't care if in the next episode she will be gagged with microfoam tape for 6 seasons, they messed it up big time. Their job in TV is to make it look like its really happening, and why should the viewer be shock or sad if the scene doesn't look normal? Would a viewer be horrored to see a murder scene in which the blood is orange instead of red? |

| Speaking of effective gags, for once I truly have to admit defeat--I've searched all over, but haven't been able to find the 2007 version of Funny Games in HD. It's vanished from the internet completely, albeit leaving many traces behind. There's a whole bunch of release group MKVs out there in both 720p and 1080p, but every single link I've seen (Fileserve, Megaupload, Netload, Rapidshare) has come up dead, with some of them even having been zapped as recently as a few weeks ago. Obviously some director/producer must've really had an agenda in getting that particular flick offline. Anyway, it kinda feels like a momentuous occasion that this is the first time I've ever had to give up in finding a scene in HD. :-P Oh well. |

To even have a piece of duct tape that was clearly sliced in half is almost unbelievable. I mean if it was a strip of the Johnson & Johnson thin tape, fine. But how did the thug doing the gagging get handed a half strip of duct tape? As for the error, TV shows are just like any other business these days. Less people and more work, which means more errors. |

I don't think I ever will, or at least not for a while until it surfaces online again (obviously many people out there still have it somewhere on their hard drives). Either way, this one seems to be the most dead-in-the-water file I've seen yet, and that's saying a lot after all that effort in getting that Eastwick episode in HD--which at one looked impossible to find. I'll keep looking every now and again. |

I'm observing that the desire for "realism" is a personal matter. For example, all over the mouth cloth gags lack "realism." They don't keep a girl quiet really. But, given the right actress, they still work in the scene. It's an act after all. Suspension of disbelief is required for all forms of movies and television, is it not? Personally, I hate when they tie a damsels hands in front while she's wearing a tape gag, but yet I don't mind if a gag doesn't actually silence the damsel as long as her hands can't get to the gag. You differ. It's all personal taste. |
