Record number: 2018 Title: The Professionals (1966) Medium: Movie Actress: Claudia Cardinale Description: In this Western set in the early 20th century, a Texas oilman hires four adventurers to rescue his wife, whom he claims has been kidnapped by a Mexican bandito. She, however, doesn't want to be rescued but since the adventurers are professionals, they're honor bound to complete the contract, no matter what the cost. About an hour and fifteen minutes in, they attack the bandito's camp and spirit her away into the night, Burt Lancaster lifting her over his shoulder into a railcar and then tying her hands behind her back. The scene then cuts to the next morning, where they rendezvous with a compatriot on a train that, unbeknownst to them, has been captured by the bandits. After another furious gunfight which follows Lancaster using Cardinale, her hands still bound, as a human shield, she's carried over his shoulder into the locomotive where she's tied standing to the side of the cab. A few minutes later she's shown on horseback with her hands tied in front for a couple of shots. She isn't gagged during any of the scenes. |
