Record number: 12482 Title: Dexter Medium: TV Series Actress: Jennifer Carpenter Description: Episode: "Born Free" (1.12) Convoluted plot for the season finale has serial killer “hero” Dexter’s biological brother kidnapping his adopted sister, Debra (Jennifer). He first takes her to a boat, where she is seated on the deck and duct taped to the lines. Her wrists are taped in front of her, and her legs are taped at ankles and knees. Later, he takes her to a garage where he plans to use Dexter’s style to kill her. During the trip she is locked in the trunk of his car, which he stops due to her loud mmpphhing. When he opens the trunk, we see that she has been gagged with a wide strip of duct tape, which is now loose. He simply re-applies a new strip onscreen. When they arrive at the garage, her arms and wrists are still duct taped, as are her thighs, effectively hobbling her. She is also now blindfolded with a black scarf. When the killer releases her, she stumbles around trying to find a way to escape, mmpphhing frantically. He easily knocks her down and gives her an injection to knock her out. When she comes to, she is stripped naked, saran wrapped to a table, and still gagged (now with 2 overlapping strips of duct tape). The killer has summoned Dexter to the garage in an attempt to get him to kill Debra, and they have a lengthy conversation while she lies there helplessly. Eventually, Dexter turns on his brother and the cops show up to end the action. |
