However, he has other plans for her, and has spiked her drink. It takes a while for it to kick in, but when she realizes what has happened, it is too late. She tries hopelessly to stagger across the room and passes out in a heap at 37mins. Later, at 39mins, a large trunk is opened to reveal Sam lying inside, unconscious, securely bound and gagged with duct tape. This sequence is very brief, but the scene continues -- in spectacular, can't-miss fashion -- in the next episode. Times based on the DVD release. |

Record number: 12567 Title: Las Vegas Medium: TV Series Actress: Vanessa Marcil Description: Episode: "Heroes" (4.17) This episode is the conclusion of a two-part season finale, and features one of the best bondage scenes in the history of television. Vanessa Marcil, the gorgeous petite brunette, spends almost the entire episode bound and gagged. She has been kidnapped by a deranged rich man, incapacitated by a sedative in her drink and bound and gagged in a trunk. To begin with, the scenes in which Ms. Marcil is bound and gagged in the trunk are lit just perfectly by a skilled lighting technician. Despite the crepuscular conditions, visibility is more than adequate, and Ms. Marcil's gag, the wide strip of duct tape, is perfectly visible. We owe a debt of gratitude to the lighting technician for the series; the man or woman really knows his or her job, and our enjoyment of the episode was enhanced because of this. Secondly, the keyhole in the trunk is used to great effect; Ms. Marcil peers out of it frequently to see who or what was outside, and the light through the keyhole illuminates her gagged mouth very seductively. Potential rescuers are frequently just outside the trunk, but she is unable to alert them to her predicament, since she is gagged. The scene near the end of the episode when she sees her friend and potential rescuer, the security guy, walking just a few feet away, and attempts to alert him by screaming ineffectually through her gag, is priceless. The dastardly villain has done too good a job of gagging her; she can only manage some barely audible whimpers and extremely muffled squeals. Her energetic struggling and attempts to make noises through her gag are especially enjoyable. She manages to unlock the trunk through energetic jostling, and wriggles out (not to mention giving us some gorgeous views of her butt, and bare feet). The manner in which she is bound is certainly original: her hands are bound in front with duct tape, but her wrists and forearms are secured to her thighs; this resembles a form of hogtie. Seldom, if ever, has any actress been bound in this manner. Ms. Marcil manages to remove her gag by rubbing it against the coarse carpeting, make her way over to a telephone, knock it down to the floor, and attempt to make a call, only to have the villain walk in at that precise, inopportune moment. He rushes over to her, ends the call, and then engages in snappy repartee with Ms. Marcil; some of the dialogue is the obligatory admonition of "You'll never get away with it." Housekeeping then knocks on the door; the villain immediately applies a forceful handgag, and tells the dedicated housekeeping staff to return later. Ms. Marcil proceeds to scream as loudly as she can through the hand clamped over her mouth; to the viewers, the muffled squeal is almost deafening, but to housekeeping it is merely a whimper. The villain then gags Ms. Marcil with another strip of duct tape over her mouth, onscreen and in close-up. Ms. Marcil spends nearly the entire episode bound and gagged, from 4mins all way to 38mins of the DVD release. All timecodes in between: 10mins, 12mins, 15-17mins, 20-26mins, 27-28mins, 31-32mins, 35mins, and 37mins. It could be said that one advantage for Ms. Marcil is that she certainly did not have much dialogue to memorize for this episode, as most of her lines are simply of the "Mmmmmmmpphh!" variety. Record number: 20510 Title: Las Vegas Medium: TV Series Actress: Vanessa Marcil Description: Episode: "A Hero Ain't Nothing But a Sandwich" (5.01) In the season 5 premiere, and continued from the season 4 finale, Sam (Marcil) opens the episode by summarizing to us -- the viewers -- all the events so far. Of particular interest is her line about how she was "tied up.....in a box", spoken with a suitably sarcastic and nonchalant tone. The real action picks up at 3mins when Sam is shown in the box, still bound and gagged with duct tape as before, but now on board her captor's private jet. She shrieks a deliciously loud "MMMMMMMMMMPPPPHHHHH!!!" as the sequence shifts back to her fellow casino workers on the ground, who have other things to worry about. At 5mins she has been taken out of the box, but ends up getting manhandled and slapped around on the aisle. The lecherous brute then stands her up, takes off his belt and uses it to tie one of her hands overhead. He rips her pants to partially reveal a pair of black lace panties, but before he gets a chance to go any further, Sam groggily reaches for the handle to open the aircraft door. Whoosh! -- He makes an unceremonious exit, and she gets free offscreen. Later, at 11mins, a colleague at the casino implores for Sam to take it easy upon returning to work: "You were kidnapped, bound and gagged and stuffed in a trunk!" She scoffs at this and changes the subject, but not before saying something about being "a little tied up also, haha...." All times based on the DVD release. Tags: outfit_underwear |
