Record number: 5399 Title: Gunmen from Laredo (1959) Medium: Movie Actress: Jana Davi Description: Glacially slow western has the hero escape from prison to hunt down the four men who really committed the murder for which he was framed. Almost immediately after escaping, the hero stumbles across Rosita (Davi), a shapely Mexican woman, who is tied to a tree. Her wrists are bound with thongs behind the trunk and another thong is looped around her throat to hold her head upright. Seems she's been kidnapped by an Apache who has left her tied up to go hunting. Action occurs about twenty minutes into the movie. According to the IMDB, this was Davi's last film credit. |

I have seen the first Messiah. Note that the database record is described in two parts. I think in the UK it was shown as two one hour parts but I am not certain. The U.S. broadcast is being shown as a two hour movie. |

When the bag is opened we see her tape gagged face. The killer has used flesh coloured elastoplast. When the police talk about it they say that the killer stuffed a hankerchief into her mouth then taped it. In part 2 Danie is kidnapped and tied hands behind back in a storm drain which is filling with rain water. She is over the mouth gagged with a white scarf. Nice mmmppphhh-ing as the police rescue her just in time. Part 2 also features a quick re-cap of part 1 where character Jenny Collier is again shown tape gagged. |
