Record number: 11219 Title: Totally Spies Medium: TV Series Actress: Animated (voiced by Andrea Taylor, Katie Leigh, Jennifer Hale and unknown) Description: Episode: "Escape from WOOHP Island" (3.12) The girls are sent to WOOHP's prison island to retrieve Brittney (Alex's temporary replacement from "Alex Quits"), who crashlanded there, before the island explodes. At around the 13' mark, the girls are captured in a net, and the scene cuts to them strapped to operating tables on a mad plastic surgeon's island. Sam palms the laser nailfile and begins slicing her straps, but the surgeon grabs it and destroys it. However it turns out she's cut the main strap enough to get free and KO the surgeon. They sneak out, but hear mmmphing, and at about 15' in discover Brittney strapped to a another operating table and overgagged. They unstrap her and head for the beach. Unfortunately, a few minutes later it turns out that Brittney is really a disguised Willard (the villain from "Alex Quits"), and he's got the real Brittney locked in a large cage, but otherwise unrestrained. |

Record number: 2874 Title: The Perfect Tenant (2000) Medium: Movie Actress: Stacy Hogue Description: Direct-to-video thriller starring Maxwell Caulfield as a psycho who gets revenge on Linda Purl and her family. Hogue plays Purl's teenage daughter, who is suspicious of him. When he catches on, he kidnaps her, handgagging her as he takes her out of the house. When Purl gets a call from Caulfield, she hears Hogue mmmphing over the phone. When she goes to the house Caulfield has her daughter in, she is taken to the kitchen, where Hogue is standing on a table, her hands tied behind her back, her feet tied, and gagged with a huge strip of duct tape. She also has a noose around her neck attached to the ceiling. In the climax of the scene, Caulfield tries to slide the table from under Hogue's feet, and Purl is at the other end of the table. There is a happy ending for Hogue. The whole scene lasts over five minutes, with many nice shots of Hogue, particularly during the climax of the scene. She does plenty of mmmphing, not so much struggling. Great scene, unless you prefer intricate rope work; then skip it. Great video box art too, which has a picture of Hogue's gagged face. Ms. Hogue's feet are clad in only white socks and bound together. This scene should please those who like socks because there are plenty of close-ups as she is attempting to balance herself on the table. The scenes occur in the last half hour. |

I flipped over about 21' in Saturday night to catch a quick background shot of at least one female hostage during a bank heist. She was bound with rope around her torso and tapegagged. From the context I'd think there was more beforehand. The ep will repeat next Friday (Saturday morning) at midnight. |

| This is a maybe. The synopsis says a young woman is kidnapped. In a preview, I thought I heard them say one of the team is captured. They showed the picture of a woman with her hands bound (taped?) in front of her bouncing around like she was in the trunk of a car. |

Record number: 647 Title: The X-Files Medium: TV Series Actress: Angela Donahue, Gillian Anderson Description: Episode: "Unruhe" (4.4) (1996) Mulder and Scully track a psychotic killer whose psychic photographs reveal the madman's murderous fantasies. He kidnaps women, binds them to a dentist chair and gags them with duct tape, then kills them by inserting a spike into their brains. About fifteen minutes in, we see a head shot of one such victim (Donahue) gagged with duct tape as the bad guy approaches her with a floral-print cloth drape that will hide her bonds the next time she appears about seven minutes later. At the beginning of the episode's climax, the killer hides underneath Scully's car and KO's her by injecting a needle into her ankle. He carries her in his arms and then drives off to his hideout. When Scully wakes up at about 47 minutes, she is duct taped to a dentist chair, her wrists taped down to the arms of the chair. After some talking, the bad guy finally realizes he must do her in, grabs his roll of tape, and gags her-- excellent close-up as the tape is applied to her pouty lips. Furious mmphing ensues, but when Mulder shows up, the killer is distracted and Scully manages to break free of the tape and rip off her gag. Mulder saves her, shooting and killing the psycho. This is a great scene overall--excellent mmphing and emoting, and plenty of close-ups as well, complete with on-screen gagging. |
