For what it's worth, casting scripts for an upcoming episode have parts for three kidnappers disguised as paramedics. The scripts have a couple different scenes where two different women are gagged with duct tape - one of the women meets an unhappy end; the other one (very possibly Kerry Washington's character) ultimately gets the better of the kidnappers. |

Wow, interesting stuff, Dextor! I appreciate the info. I must admit to not being a huge duct tape fan (unless it's the softer type and it's stuck on really tightly, which it rarely is these days), but for a scene with Kerry, I won't complain. Since she's the lead of the (very popular) show, I'm sure her character will survive the experience. |

Here's a snippet from one of the casting scripts. The character names for regulars are all changed in these scripts to prevent spoilers, but 'Michelle' is used often in scripts for this show and I think corresponds with the Olivia character played by Kerry Washington. |

But these upcoming episodes have obviously already been filmed, so maybe we get lucky with a promo photo. When they start airing actual promo clips remains to be been seen. |

Please oh please. I've wanted Kerry to get a tape gag since Fantastic Four. |

With so many shows like these depicting the heroines as strong, powerful, independent women, I'm not surprised. But even Nancy Drew wound up bound and gagged more than once (at least in the books). Just saying. :) |

Just saying. :) Criminal Minds has 78 entries in the database. Can't they throw us a bone or even just dinner scraps when it comes to Jennifer Love Hewitt FINALLY getting a full treatment scene? Ffs! |

> (unsigned poster) wrote: > > These shows have been pretty quiet. Aren't they > crime > > series? Aside from Criminal Minds, the other shows you mention haven't produced much in their runs. Flash is new so has no history to go on. Castle by my count has only produced two gag scenes in its run - one in season two for Dana Delany and one last season (earlier this year) for Stana Katic. Aside from those, there are only like three other scenes where a female character even gets restrained on the show and that is with a run that is now past 130 episodes. Hawaii Five-o produces about one gag scene a season, and about 3 other episodes per season where a female character gets restrained, and its run has just past the 100 episode mark. Most of these shows only put their regulars in peril toward the end of their seasons. What is largely extinct is the random, ho-hum, regular episode bad guy capturing a series regular. Most of the peril for series regulars now are courtesy of season long arcs, where a baddie pops in every few episodes to be threatening, but where nothing much actually happens until the climaxes at the end of the seasons. Criminal Minds seems to have an ongoing arc with an abduction ring, but that plot only seems to turn up in the tag scenes at the end of episodes. Last episode, for example, ended with the niece of Jennifer Love Hewitt's character conversing online with somebody revealed to be a probable predator. |

That cover described of Pamela Sue Martin as Nancy Drew dressed as a cheerleader and bound and gagged doesn't exist. Pamela Sue Martin only appeared on eight covers and none were specially photographed - they were all just typical stock publicity photos from the series. |

This particular book had an extensive B&G scene for the two on the cover. Too bad nothing for the book covers or the TV series |

> This particular book had an extensive B&G scene for > the two on the cover. Too bad nothing for the book > covers or the TV series But a great soap scene... Record number: 3882 Title: Family Passions Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Tracy Ryan Description: In this German/Canadian soap, Tracy plays a sweet girl who's kidnapped by her jealous ex. She's hog-tied on a cabin bed (with lots o' rope) and tightly cleave-gagged. Cabin is set on fire and she struggles furiously to get free. In the next episode, she's rescued by two friends. A shame that her TV portrayal of Nancy Drew yielded absolutely zilch. |

Anything in this book? 'Fired! Elizabeth Wakefield has been booted from her magazine internship--for stealing an idea she thought up in the first place! With the help of her twin sister, Elizabeth sets out to prove she was framed. Her snooping leads her into terrible danger when the glittering world of fashion publishing takes a dark and nasty turn.' |
