| Hello, For the last few days, I think since this Friday, the site is extremely slow or even unresponsive when trying to view posts from a couple of days back. It seems to work fine when asked to display messages from the Video or Discussion sections posted on the current day, but if I change the default number in the "view posts from" box to 2, either nothing happens or I get a message saying that the server might be down for maintenance or due to capacity issues. This happens mostly on the Android version of Chrome. |

| What are the most gratuitous movie scenes within the context of the movie's plot and situations? I mean scenes where the damsel gets bound and gagged for the sake of it despite the fact being pointless or also useless for the plot or story or situation. I'd say the famous Maro Mavri's scene in "Loser takes all" is the best, because her nameless character appears in the movie only to get bound and gagged on-screen and do nothing else and she never appears again nor influence the story in any way. Yasmine Bleeth scene in The Lake is gratuitous because she gets gagged despite the fact of being in an isolated place in a town of which the citizens are already all against her. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio in "The abyss", she gets gagged with duct tape for the sake of it, it is pointless and the villain does it out of spite and admits he does so because "I always wanted to do it" What are other similar gratuitous and pointless for the plot scenes? |

This happens > mostly on the Android version of Chrome. I have had similar issues. If I select "one" day fine get straight on but 2 and above it is very, very slow and times out. Both on the video and discussion pages. Access to the DB is unaffected. I am using a Samsung tablet btw if that helps? |

But yeah I thought it was slow bcs I was connected to VPN, but turns out other people are facing the same thing too. |

| Not to pile on, but I notice on my Android the page lags, and on a laptop it's perfectly normal. Strange glitch. |

Kim Cattrall in Big Trouble in Little China is a good one. Her character is the only one of the captive women who is hogtied and gagged in the jail. There is a throwaway line indicating that she fought like a wildcat (and a deleted scene expanding on this) but otherwise her extra level of restraint comes across as gratuitous. |

| Perhaps this scene from Vega$ might be an example. The guest actress is discovered bound and gagged in a hotel room closet, or something like that. I don't recall the context of her being bound and gagged, but I do recall being pleasantly surprised that she was, because it was totally unexpected. Her being bound and gagged was a serendipitous addition to the plot of the episode. I think her character was somewhat annoying, so the lead character, Dan Tanna, expressed some delight at finding her bound and gagged. Title: Vega$ (1978) aka Vegas Medium: TV Series Actress: Pamelyn Ferdin Description: Episode: "Serve, Volley and Kill" (1.11) Very short scene for cute brunette Katie (Ferdin, of Charlie Brown fame), who is discovered in a closet by Dan Tanna. Lasts only a few seconds, and occurs near the end of the episode, or at 39mins of the DVD release. |

The young lady in question is the younger sister of a Jimmy Connors-like professional tennis player (John McEnroe's infamous tantrums were still in the future) I don't remember exactly why she was kidnapped, though since her brother is such a boorish primma donna it was probably done to get at him somehow, as she was all her brother truly cared about. Based on that, the secene is hardly gratuituous |
