| I've encountered a bit of a mystery here, folks. Or maybe those more well-versed in the series might already know about it......... We all know about the 'Band Of Slaves' sketch with the multiple damsels B&G onboard a ship. However, why do I have an isolated clip of 2 sequences featuring the slave trader asking one of the OTM gagged damsels "I wonder, what do you double?", to which blows a raspberry at him. This is NOT on the DVD version of the scene. Could it be an outtake or deleted footage? https://i.imgur.com/R64NaQl.jpg Also, the DVD version does not feature the short-haired blonde with glasses & wearing some kind of blue knotted gag. https://i.imgur.com/ZrRu9oL.jpg https://i.imgur.com/n6ipGY0.jpg So has this scene been chopped up over the decades? |

Hello Sam, The scenes which you mention are all in the tv transmitted episodes that I have recorded on uk gold. I'm not sure why they aren't on the dvd versions as usually dvd episodes are not constrainded by time.I assume it may be some sort of censorship for whatever reasons |

| Oh I see what's gone on.............kinda. The scene is spread across S09E05/S09E06 on the DVD, but for some reason the part where the blonde blows a raspberry is shown AFTER the famous multi-damsel scene where the villainess cleave gags a captive onscreen, after which they all get rescued. It's like they're completely out of sequence. |

| I bought the dvd of that season specifically for those scenes and they're all there, just spread over a couple of episodes as was just mentioned. An absolutely classic DiD scenario. Young, attractive damsels with many different looks - long hair, short hair, glasses etc. Amazing gag variety too, and all types are well-applied. Would love an extended version of these scenes. Multi-damsel scenes are rare and this is up there with the greats. |

| The video quality of the dvd I own is ok, nothing fantastic but clear enough. Ronnie Barker himself directed this serial so I'm sure he enjoyed himself immensely ;). Wonder if he had any input into those gags. That panel-gag on the cute blonde with glasses, not bad at all, and pretty random. Big knotted cleaves, wide tight otm's...is like the production crew were using one of those classic Seventies bondage magazines as a guide lol. |
