The Bates Haunting
Just to check before I delete the rest of this flick: there's only ONE scene, at 55mins, right?

You know this type of pic reminds me of a possible comedic situation where you could do a skit or even just a pic where the man of the house gags his wife/gf to get ready for the football season. I think it be pretty funny and comedic scenes go over better for people who don't "get it".

Daytime soap operas have produced several such scenes. E.g., the 10-second "Fantasy"/dream motif, where either:

(A) Villain or villainess imagines what they'd like to do to their rival;
(B) Hero imagines the terrible peril his kidnapped wife/girlfriend must be in.

I think there was a scene in that movie "Girl In 3D" where the guy imagined his mother tied up.

From the DB:

At Min 68:00 Stu dreams of her mother. A woman (unknown) is tied with ropes to a sofa, arms in front, wrists tied to her knees and ankles and across her chest with ropes. She has a leather collar and a Mohawk hair cut with green hair.

Mission impossible 2
No sure if this is the right area of the forums to post in but I was re-watching Mi-2 recently I got to wondering is there any other movie out there that had a gag scene similar to the on in this where the actress is gagged under a mask like that ?

The best recent example of that soap scenario was on "All My Children" where Erica was delirious and dreamed her then nemesis Greenlee (Rebecca Budig) was bound and gagged.

I think Alison Sweeney's Sami on "Days of Our Lives" only gag scene was a fantasy scenario.

Ditto Gina Tognoni's Kelly Cramer on "One Life to Live" when David Vickers imagined kidnapping her and having her tied up on a bed and tape-gagged.

Que Bonito Amor and Marido En Alquiler
Does anyone know when the scene with Danna Garcia is going to air? Also, in Marido En Alquiler, it seems that with the lead winning the 50 million dollars, that someone might try to kidnap her for ransom maybe I'm reading the storyline wrong.

Thanks for reading my post.

There was a good one on the Mexican soap "Dos Hogares" where its star Anahi gets kidnapped and tied up and tape-gagged by a stalker - a real out of nowhere storyline to boost flailing ratings. It was interesting in that Anahi was playing a simple vegetarian on the show, but the stalker shrine, covered with photos, seemed more tied to Anahi's real life pop star image.

Danna Garcia's cleave-gag scene isn't until the last episode, so its still about 6 weeks away.

Telemundo's "Marido en alquiler" is a pretty close remake of the Brazilian soap "Fina Estampa." There are a few kidnappings through out that show, but I don't know if there are any gags in the scenes in the original. Telemundo remakes usually have more b&g scenes than the originals, though.

In the final week of the original, the character played in "Marido en alquiler" by Sonya Smith gets chloroformed and kidnapped by the villains, and is bound and tape-gagged in the climactic episodes.

Vegetarian? She was playing a simple veterinarian.

Mexican soaps and Telemundo's Miami soaps often introduce kidnappings out of nowhere to boost bad ratings, usually putting the leading actress in peril.

There was another example in last night's Mexican soap "Libre Para Amarte" where out of nowhere its lead Gloria Trevi was attacked by a random lunatic and wound up tied up, arms spread between two trees, legs bound at ankles, and tape-gagged as the crazy guy built a bonfire around her.

I don't know about movies, but there was an old issue of Teen Titans with that exact scenario. The hero (Cyborg)'s girlfriend got kidnapped by Two-Face, who tape-gagged her and put a mask over her face so that the hero would think she was the bad guy.

The specific scenario of "Guy gags his wife because she won't shut up" probably won't happen in the U.S. for many reasons, but yes, unexpected comedic bondage is one of my favorite things. I always wished more comedy programs like SNL would tape advantage of the basic idea ("Someone tied up and gagged the hot female musical guest to perform in her place!"

Still looking for that darn Bud Lite commercial that allegedly has the tape-gagged musicians.

Does anybody know at what time of the movie this scene occurs? The database only says that it takes place during the third story within the film. Any further info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
