I just composed a Database Entry for an episode of this show, about a Wyoming game warden. He finds his pregnant wife bound and gagged in a room in a county courthouse early in the seventh episode of the first season of the show. |

Saturday August 10 11:41:38 2024 La historia de Juana |
La historia de Juana, the Mexican remake of Juana la virgen, is in its final episodes with 3 weeks left. Even though this version is much shorter than the original (65 episodes vs about 150 episodes), it is following the events of the original pretty closely, so there is a decent chance it will have the bondage scenes of the telenovela's two villainesses. The first scene will probably be this upcoming week. In last night's episode, just like in the original, the hero and heroine flee the law. In the original, while they are hiding out, the villainess played by Roxana Diaz tracks them down and the heroes have to leave her bound and gagged as they flee again. That character is played by Irina Baeva in this Mexican remake. The other scene would happen in the last couple episodes and involves the main bad guy kidnapping the other villainess, played by Norkys Batista in the original, and Fabiola Guajardo in this remake. In other Mexican telenovela news, they announced this week they doing a remake of the Turkish series Fazilet Hanim ve Kizlari currently titled Las Hijas de la Senora Garcia. There are a couple full treatment scenes for the older daughter played by Deniz Baysal in the original. Oka Giner is playing that role in the remake. |

Saturday August 10 13:33:27 2024 Damsels who get transported a long distance |
What are examples of scenes where the place captor plans to hold the damsel captive is quite far away from where she gets captured? So it takes some time to transport her there? |
Saturday August 10 15:07:53 2024 The Amazing Spider-Man |
This series is long defunct, but something about this episode perplexed me. The scene described in this Database Entry occurs on a high floor in the Empire State Building, which has strict security and a large number of people inside. Did anyone wonder how the villains managed to smuggle a beautiful woman, possibly bound and gagged, into the Empire State Building without being noticed? Title: The Amazing Spider-Man (1978) aka Spiderman Medium: TV Series Actress: Ellen Bry Description: Episode: "A Matter of State" (2.02) First Julie Masters (Bry) is handgagged by a crook. In the next scene, she's seated on a sofa, ankles are bound and wrists are tied behind her back. She's tightly detective gagged with a yellow cloth. Several close-ups as Spiderman does battle with the bad guys. |

Around this time a Frenchman not only snuck up to the top floor of the Word Trade Center several times with accomplices to scope out the area but during the last time brought a high tension cable he strung across the buildings to walk between them (check out the documentary). You would be surprised how much access one could get to dangerous places in NYC back in the 70s and 80s. That's what I like about the old TV shows and films; it was easier to believe villains could kidnap damsels without worrying about the high security most places have today. |
