"Prince Valiant" is the only one I see these days, and only on Sundays. There were some really nice moments in old daily strips like "Steve Canyon," "Kerry Drake," and others. |

Here is an excerpt and some links from a post from 2019. ==================================================== The comic strip The Phantom runs a separate storyline on Sundays. The one the past few months has featured an Amazonian slave-holding nation. There were some light tie-up scenes (hands in front sort) in some episodes. I hadn't been paying much attention, so I went back today and checked. In the episode last Sunday, apparently The Ghost Who Walks had overpowered a couple of the guards and left them in bit of a bind (har har). https://safr.kingfeatures.com/api/img.php?e=png&s=c&file=VGhlUGhhbnRvbS8yMDE5LzA5L1BoYW50b21faHMuMjAxOTA5MDhfMTUzNi5wbmc= https://safr.kingfeatures.com/api/img.php?e=png&s=c&file=VGhlUGhhbnRvbS8yMDE5LzA5L1BoYW50b21faHMuMjAxOTA5MTVfMTUzNi5wbmc= https://safr.kingfeatures.com/api/img.php?e=png&s=c&file=VGhlUGhhbnRvbS8yMDE5LzA5L1BoYW50b21faHMuMjAxOTA5MjJfMTUzNi5wbmc= https://safr.kingfeatures.com/api/img.php?e=png&s=c&file=VGhlUGhhbnRvbS8yMDE5LzA5L1BoYW50b21faHMuMjAxOTA5MjlfMTUzNi5wbmc= https://safr.kingfeatures.com/api/img.php?e=png&s=c&file=VGhlUGhhbnRvbS8yMDE5LzEwL1BoYW50b21faHMuMjAxOTEwMDZfMTUzNi5wbmc= |

Monday June 12 15:51:09 2023 50 Shades question |
It's streaming now so I finally watched some but not all. Is it true Anna is never bound hands behind and never gagged? Is that also true of the books, no gags? Thanks if you know. |
Monday June 12 17:48:59 2023 Re: 50 Shades question |
Pretty much. The author obviously knew sweet FA about her subject matter if she didn't think gags are an integral part of it. The first book started promisingly enough when Grey goes shopping in Anna's hardware store and buys zipties and extra-wide tape - but they're never used on her. When he later gets her to sign his silly 'contract' she literally takes the 'no gag' clause. And the films basically followed the books to the letter. Whole literary and filmed exercise was a complete waste of time. Shame, as Dakota was damn hot in the movies. Should have been gagged every which way - cleave, ball, tape etc etc |

Failure to make movies the way you'd like is not a productive topic. |
