The Pope's exorcist
Alex Essoe has a tight handgag whilst sleeping in bed by the demonic entity. It also lasts for a good minute or two with her struggling to free herself whilst being pulled into the bed through the handgag. Didn't expect to see any form of DID action at all in this movie, hence was a pleasant surprise. Scene happens in the middle of the movie, cannot remember the specific time.

Hasbro etc
Hasbro has brought out 3 very detailed Raiders Of The Lost Ark figures to coincide with the release of Indy 4. Cairo Indy, Marcus Brody and Belloq. Very fine details on each, right down to Indy's desert stubble and shirtsleeves. Presumably there'll also be Marion Ravenwood bound to a post with a tight, wet cleave in her mouth ;)

You forgot to mention, Goober, that the film itself is virtually unwatchable garbage. Sorry, Russell...

Your First Scene With Your Favorite Gag
What's the first DID scene you can recall seeing with your favorite gag? The first scene featuring a type of gag that as soon as you saw it you knew it was your preferred item to see a beautiful woman gagged with.

Silver duct tape is my favorite gag and I can recall the first time I saw it in a DID scene was in Kill Kill Overkill (AKA Twisted Fate) way back in the early 90s when I caught it on the USA network during Up All Night and was little at the time. That movie is an absolute bondage bonanza and seeing it's beautiful DIDs prominently gagged with silver duct tape, there was something striking about the way the duct tape looked to me that I just knew it was my preference for a gag.

I recall the next scene I saw featuring silver duct tape was a quick preview of Allison Hossack's Cobra scene in a commercial, and you can imagine my frustration over not seeing the full scene at the time. But in that quick preview the image resonated with me. Years later as a slightly older kid going through my "developments" and seeing scenes prominently featuring silver duct tape as a gag in Small Soldiers, Caracara/The Last Witness, Palmetto and A Life Less Ordinary, there was no question about it that it was my absolute favorite gag and always my top preference. I don't know what it is about shiny silver adhesive that looks so gorgeous over a beautiful woman's mouth, but it does it for me in a way no other gag does.

In the subsequent years since there's been countless excellent scenes featuring silver duct tape and I'm happy it tends to be the most prominent and frequently employed gag. Especially when tightly applied and leaving a deep impression of her lips and when the actress does plenty of mmmppphhhing through it, which really sells the effectiveness. A beautiful woman's beauty is enhanced a hundredfold for me with silver duct tape over her mouth. No other gag has the same effect for me.

I'm sure we all have our stories of our favorite gag and seeing it for the first time and the scenes that helped cement it as our favorite and preferred gag.

I recently received an e-mail from the publisher of Paula Peril inquiring whether I would be interested in purchasing the creative rights to the comic series for the paltry sum of $5000. Evidently, both the comic and movie series are evidently in a dire financial situation. I think we may no longer be able to enjoy the travails of the beautiful Paula Perillo, aka Paula Peril, the intrepid investigative reporter who finds herself bound and gagged during every adventure, sometimes multiple times.
Perhaps someone will purchase the creative rights and rescue Paula Peril.

Five To One (1963)
Anyone ever see this film? Perhaps Ingrid Hafner had a scene, judging by the poster

It's in the database, but under Edgar Wallace, and it was not Hafner who got it:

Record number: 3111

Title: The Edgar Wallace Mystery Theatre
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Heller Toren

Description: Episode: "Five to One" (5.03)

From 1963, the 35th in a series of British films based on Edgar Wallace's novels. In the last 10mins, Mai Hunt (Toren) is held up at her home by a pair of robbers who are out to score her rich husband's money. She is grabbed, hands tied behind her back, feet tied (clad in heeled slippers), and shortly afterwards cleave gagged; all onscreen with dark-coloured neckties.

At first she is left on her bed to squirm energetically, then dumped on the floor and hidden under the bed (which gives us a great view of her legs and butt as her white nightgown rides up). A few seconds of quiet mmpphhing before the thieves leave, but after the police arrive to thwart their escape, Mai's release is not shown.

A very fine topic, and I will happily give my feedback to this. And perhaps I MAY be the only one! Cause, sadly IMO this great site has turned into... let's call it... the scene directory of scenes of NEW DiD scenes on LMN/Lifetime channels! ONLY! Personally, I could think of many topics similar to the one above. But, I have stopped posting them due to lack of responses(s). I've grown tired to posting - to no one else but myself.

Anyway, to answer your question, I p[refer cleaves. TIGHT cleaves. First I recall were the old TV shows. Just the other day on TV was the rerun of Highway Patrol called HITCHHIKER DIES. Easily finding this whole episode online, I consider this one to be about the BEST scene I have ever seen!! (And I got MANY many years of viewing!) Also, the old SUPERMAN series. Movies include DIE DIE MY DARLING, THE COLLECTOR, some years later INCREDIBLE TWO HEADED TRANSPLANT.

Sigh. And. Here. We. Go.

I dunno... eternal optimist? Forever champion of free speech? Reviler of Internet "moderation"? Just paid my taxes and I was pissed off at the world?

Calm down or you'll have a brain aneurysm. I waited a while for you to strike down/lock down the original post. Not because it was a bad post (It wasn't) but because you being you, (Unnecessarily unrelenting anal retentive AH) that's how I figured you'd likely play it.

You didn't, so I thought a VERY moderate response about a once great platform and FICTIONAL character would be allowed. Keeping up with your myriad of onerous, often obtuse, rules gives me a headache most of the time.

I considered it a 50/50 shot, TBCH.

>>>>We've been associates if not friends for decades, but now you seem

I would consider Brian an honored (By me anyway) associate, as well as a probable friend I've sadly never had the privilege of meeting in person or at least speaking with directly by phone.

The Moderator persona, OTOH, is one I have basically zero use for, in both tone and, 90%ish of the time, effect.

As for the "Now you seem..." part, you've honestly totally lost me there as I haven't really posted a lot here in recent memory. Certainly in no comparison to times in the past.

>>>>>You knew what I was going to do, and in the process lose the rest
of your topical message.<<<<

As I stated above, I did not "know that". (50/50... which is pretty good odds IMO when dealing with you. I thought for some reason you might or might not have a problem with my entire post. Now it seems you only had a problem with some of it. What part? I don't have a clue.)

>>>Even if you don't think it's the right way to run my site, you ought to at
least respect it enough to follow the rules.<<<<

I swear, as God is my witness, I do not know what rule(s) I broke. It's been my experience (Personally, as an observer) that your rules enforcement can be entirely arbitrary and confusing.

I would ask (Old times sake... professional courtesy... shits and giggles. Your choice) that you point it out specifically please.

If you want to keep it "off grid" just let me know and I'll shoot you an email or something.

This is a stupid response. You know perfectly well that
"freedom of speech" has nothing to do with private
institutions. Do you really want anyone to be able to
discuss anything? Sports? Investments? Medical issues?

> Reviler of Internet "moderation"?

Maybe you want this to be unmoderated, but I bet you'd
lose a vote. But it doesn't matter, because it's my
site, my forum. I pay the bills, I make the software,
I run things. It's been that way from the beginning.

I (and you can't separate The Moderator from me)
want a narrowly-focused discussion forum. That means,
among other things, no politics.

If you don't like a product, you don't have to use it.
But demanding it be changed to suit your personal taste
and causing trouble when you don't get it is quite the
sense of entitlement.

You have alternate forums over at Anubis's site. You
could also start and run your own.

This is my last attempt to explain things to you.

By sheer coincidence I have what is probably the best edit ever produced of this scene by Sam (remember him?)
God willing, It will shortly be reposted on the splendiferous Video Page.

My favorite gag is the ubiquitous duct tape gag, which came into use in mainstream media sometime during the Eighties. The color of the duct tape doesn't really matter to me; it can be industrial gray, silver, or a silvery gray. I love seeing a damsel gagged with it. It's effective and efficient; it's very easy to use and it does a fantastic job of gagging a damsel and preventing her from talking. A strip of duct tape is easily torn off a roll and applied over a damsel's mouth; this procedure doesn't take very much time.
Duct tape is also very effective in binding a damsel's wrists and ankles; even a novice can easily secure a damsel in this manner. A roll of duct tape is also compact and easily stored.
The first scene I remember with a damsel being bound and gagged with duct tape was an episode of Hunter during the Eighties. Two blonde actresses, both named Katherine, were bound and gagged with duct tape by a home invader. He made them lie on the ground, then forcefully gagged each one with duct tape before binding her wrists.

With duct tape I can never decide if I like it better as more of a greyish silver (like what Missy Peregrym and Gina Gershon got) or a more shiny silver (like Natasha Henstridge and Cameron Diaz). It looks terrific either way, and even better when it's on a gorgeous woman and has a tight and secure application. There's just something special about silver/grey duct tape.

I like the silver duct tape most of all and it may be because of the first time I saw it with the scene from the TV movie below. The scene is dark but the silver duct tape gag still shows up well. The damsel makes a nice cute little noise as the gag is applied. Also, duct tape makes a distinct sound when peeled and torn off so it also could have a Pavlovian effect!

Record number: 2691

Title: Perry Mason: The Case Of The Telltale Talk Show Host (1993)
Medium: TV Movie
Actress: Alex Datcher

Description: Ms. Datcher plays a cop who gets nabbed by the bad guy while posing undercover as a prostitute. She's bound wrists-behind-back and gagged on-screen with silver duct tape and left in a basement. Later on her streetwalker friend comes downstairs, wakes her up and quickly takes the gag off. Neither scene is very long at all, and the lighting isn't great (the bad guy shuts off the light when he goes upstairs), but she is gagged on-screen and lets out a nice 'mmmmmmpph' as her mouth is taped. Also both scenes with her have decent but quick closeups. A great example of quality over quantity in terms of a DID scene.

I suspect love of duct tape is a generational thing. We older folk grew up with white adhesive tape gags, and to this day I strongly prefer them to duct tape. One of my earliest, most favorite examples of that was Yvonne Craig on "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.". Perfect.

That said, I prefer white handkerchief cleave gags to tape gags. Great example of that -- Honor Blackman on "The Avengers".

Almost any gag is better than no gag, though. White handkerchief OTM gags are great too. Can't say stuff gags do anything for me.

You are certainly right on that. As a 'severe old timer' I can surely remember when the type of gag used wasn't even noticed back then. Either she was gagged, or she wasn't! Now, in trying to even recall when silver type tape gags were used, I'd have to go many years forward from my earliest b/g memories. One GREAT one was the (long forgotten - or never even seen by most) one below.

Title: Jungleground (1995)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Torri Higginson

Description: Jake Cornel (Roddy Piper) is on the trail of a criminal gang. They dispatch twin hitmen to deal with him. They invade his apartment only to find his girlfriend Samantha (Torri Higginson). They tie and gag her with duct tape.
