| I know it’s a 15 year old film, but Karen David not getting a scene in Scorpion King 2 will always bum me out, especially in the broader context of the franchise. I believe *every other* Scorpion King has produced at least a minor scene, and Karen is the most gorgeous heroine in the franchise IMO. She’s had scenes in other things, but nothing that would’ve come close to a scene in her sexy warrior outfit from Scorpion King 2. Sigh. Krystal Vee gets two different scenes in Scorpion King 3, so maybe they wanted to make it up for us. You win some, you lose some I suppose. |

What was even more frustrating was at the end of the movie, the female lead wants to tie up the old lady, who's on the side of road about to pass out because she mistakenly drank a drugged drink she meant for one of her henchmen. So Kathryn goes into her car (the one the thugs had her tied up in earlier) and opens the glove box and pulls out zipties and roll of duct tape. She then ties the old lady's hands in front and duct tapes her feet. Fortunately, she didn't gag her, that would have added insult to injury. So they had duct tape right in the damn car when transporting the female lead and failed to use it. Watching this actress, I kept thinking "who does she remind me of?" and when doing the caps it hit me, she could be Megan Boone's sister. Looking at her bio, she did another Lifetime style movie which was a Tubi exclusive, I went thru it but unfortunately nothing there either. Plus, here she's wearing a very sexy sweater, leather jacket and jeans the entire movie. Not too many American shows have reliably given us high quality scenes each season like they did. With their current track record I’d figured it would only be a matter of time until the leads, Katheryn Winnick and Kylie Bunbury, got full treatments. Maybe one of the streaming services will save the show. |

| How unfortunate. At least Big Sky produced a good scene for Dedee Pfeiffer last season but it's a shame Katheryn Winnick won't get anything on it now unless Disney changes their mind and decides to keep it. |

I knew them getting any treatment was highly unlikely due to the vibe of the show ('strong lead women saving others'), if it was a comedy it would have been a different story. I'm just happy Meadow Soprano finally had a long overdue scene on that show. At least the good news out of this is now Katheryn Winnick will have to fish for other work that will increase the chance she will finally get something. She looked kind of puffy (in a good way) in the last season so she may be taking a little time off to have (or had) a kid. |
