Wait, are you talking about that 20-minute gritty dark thing with some of the original stars? That's no amateur film, it's got better production values than the original series! That should be allowed. |
Sunday March 08 09:24:14 2015 On-Screen Hogties? |
On the video page, Sam posted a scene from a French film (Le Doulos aka. The Finger Man aka. Lo Spione (featuring Monique Hennessy)) where a woman is hogtied on-screen. Any other examples like this? Hogties in general are rare so not sure how many are on-screen (and would be convincing). |

Sunday March 08 11:36:49 2015 unorthodox gags |
kinda curious as to how many movies or tv show out there have used unothodox gags ? one the best one that I know of is house of wax remake where the lead female character had her lips glued shut. there was also a Commercial for voting where the actress had her lips fuse together slowly and then disapear. what other ones is there ? |

So production values and professionalism (I'm assuming the actors were paid for their parts in the film) don't matter? So a slickly polished, professionally made fan film would be off-topic but a 50s horror film shot through a potato on a $100 budget would be? I thought the "no fan film" rule was to prevent fetish films, not stuff like this. |

It is also a short film done by a SAG cast and crew that appears in the IMDB, so I don't know what counts anymore. |
Sunday March 08 15:55:22 2015 POWER RANGERS "FAN" FILM |
Blaster.com and Nerdist.com ran articles about this thing. Katee Sackhoff and James Van der Beek are in the cast. It looks to me like one of those "proof of concept" short films shot to show to prospective producers and studio execs. It got released into the wilds of the internet (somehow), someone decided to call it a "fan film," and the label stuck. Welcome to the age of New Media. Your video game platform has suddenly decided it's a television network, your favorite search engine thinks it's a movie studio, and Brian's "gray area" is growing like the blob. |

Hmmm...Linda Cardellini (and a few other actresses) had their lips sewed shut in "Strangeland" Beverly D'Angelo was gagged with a toupee shoved in her mouth in "Finders Keepers" Several actresses have been gagged with pieces of fruit stuck in their mouths (Eva LaRue w/ an apple in Freddy's Nightmares", Mercedes McNab (apple) in "Addams Family Values", Selena Gomez (apple) in "Monta Carlo", Natalia Cigiuti (a potato) in "Simon Sez", Cameron Diaz (a lime) in "Head Above Water", etc.) In a movie called "Memories of Murder", an unknown actress was gagged with a sock containing a rock stuck in her mouth In an episode of "Weeds", Elizabeth Perkins was gagged with a bra I'm sure there are others... |

I will need to consider what how classify some of the web-only productions, but this isn't one. That's all I will be posting on this one. If it would make anyone feel better I could have deleted that post for a video link on Discussion. |
