Montana (1997)
Present entry:
Record number: 646
Title: Montana (1997)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Robin Tunney
Description: She's tied to a chair, but with her legs left free, which lets her get up and walk around. She's shown trying to open a door with her mouth in a close-up; finally, she and the chair are pulled from a closet by a man who unties her.

Suggested new entry:

Description: She's tied to a small metal chair, wrists tied to the sides of the chair with white rope, ropes around waist and upper thighs. Her legs are otherwise left free, allowing her to get up and walk around.
No gag. Our DiD wears a narrow semi-transparent dress and high heels.

There are 3 short clips.
-Character Claire (not our Damsel, the Heroine) sits on a sofa, having just eaten some Chinese food. Damsel sitting on stairs behind her asks: "What makes you think I am not just going to run away?"-(record) then a 3 second clip of our Damsel having been tied.

- next clip is about 5 minutes later, after "Claire" has escaped an attempt to execute her.(by shooting two bad guys who forced her to dig her own grave). Record after that scene. We see our DiD still tied, trying to open a door by pressing down the handle with her mouth. Hearing someone coming, she tiptoes out of the frame.

-last clip is soon after. One crook has arrived, searching the apartment, another enters and places a suitcase with money on a table and leaves. Crook nr. one says "sucker" (record), shortly thereafter opens a door and finds out DiD whose ropes are cut.

[Note]: Yes it got a little long. This movie has been shown twice, a month apart, here. First time I missed recording the first clip, and the first 4 seconds of the second. Got the third after leaving the recorder running, alse got several minutes footage of the crook searching the apartment.
I just want the scenes, and having only one VCR I sit with remote control in hand. Due to my, as well as the VCR's reaction time, you would not believe how much I missed, especially from films like this one where the DiD scene consists of short clips with other action in between.
This (second) time I got it all because I saw it before and had the info.
This is in other words an experiment or suggestion to consider dear editor.
Someone who just read my description could get it all, and only the good stuff.
Detailed info, including info about when to record.
Let me know what you think.
Merry Christmas! (end of note)

Re: Montana (1997)
Ahh sorry a typo that could disturb the meaning:
3'rd clip:
........shortly thereafter opens a door and finds our DiD whose ropes are cut.
(maybe .....finds our tied DiD. He then cuts her ropes. ....is better)

Threaded in your scene time alerts involving Kyra Sedgwick aka "Claire", thanx.

Scene times are something we are always adding to the entries. For this reason.

As for reaction time, does that trick with the wand "Play" then "Pause", then "Record" and then hitting "Pause" when scene starts not speed up the reaction time for you?
Mine quicker than 4 seconds.

Yes it does; only for some time, 5 minutes maybe; then it returns to "sleep mode" and I am not always up on the beat to reactivate, especially if it's a 90 minutes movie, and I have no idea when, or if, any action starts. The 4 seconds are my reaction time (1-1.5 sec) plus my lame VCR, from "sleep mode".
I think my neighbors sometimes have wondered (I live in an apartment building) why I am screaming like a wounded animal- when I missed yet another scene ; )

Re: Per's Post- Scene Times & VHS Machines
Just saw the result of your editing, Jay L.

You managed to get it all in. Even in a more precise and comprimated form, all important info remains.

Also a precise correction of my typo.

Thanks for your very good work!

High Regards, Per
