BINGO! But I've searched for it in the database and it's not there. Is this some technical problem, or was it pulled for some reason, and if so, I'd just like to know why?

It was deleted. We'll have to hear from the editor that
removed it as to cause. It's a weak entry, but considering
some the others that are there . . .

These posts from the Grumpy Moderator are used as a guide for when to delete by myself and others.

"Don't mention ages!" is an automatic one right off, that doesn't apply to your's.

From DB Corrections

Title: unknown
Medium: TV Series
Actress: unknown

Description: bound and gagged
_______________
Deleted a few like this in one night, as figured one of Brian's buddies was having some fun with him. But, they keep appearing, so figure it's a serious attempt at assistance here.

Just I find ones like this unworkable, kind of a wasted effort on the part of Buddy who entered them.

"Big amen to that. There's little point in putting in any entry with an unknown title. If all you remember is the description or the actress, post it here first, see if anyone can ID it."

"One of the things on my to-do list is change the database entry to disallow Unknown as a title."

Notes from the database fixup

""Speculative" entries should not be placed in the database. That likely leads to duplicates, because someone else adds the real entry after the show actually airs."

"Certain correspondents, particularly our non-native English speakers, seem to have a fear of capitalization. I will probably make a tweek to the posting software to check for that, and bounce the entry ahead of time."

"Also, check the IMDB to prevent egregious misspellings of titles and actress names."

"I don't like the term "putz". Besides just sounding dumb, it's an insider thing to the Discussion page. The database is supposed to be a stand-alone feature, outside users (especially non-native English speakers) would likely have no idea what was being said."

"I did a search and replace on that, it now says "guy" everywhere. Those who care will know."

"I found a few, not a lot, of people putting web links in their entries. That's bad. We know how likely a link is to be valid in a month or so. I wiped out all I could find."

"I don't like the use of acronyms or abbreviatons. Especially AOH, OTM and B&G. This screws up the search feature."

"I also think "arms over head" makes no sense. Their arms aren't overhead, their hands are. The arms are below and alongside the head for much of the distance."

"Time for some more complaining:"

Record number: 5627

Title: trail of a serial killer
Medium: Movie
Actress: thea gill

Description: i haven't seen this movie but the trailer is available at IMDB

1. Are capital letters in short supply?
2. No description of the scene.
3. Person hasn't seen it, why make the entry?
4. Who cares if a trailer is in the IMDB? It may not be a month from now.

"Since I didn't see anything salvagable about the entry, it has gone off to live on a farm, where it can run and play all day with other database entries."

Which other ones are you talking about here Brian?

Realise been centering on the Tyson Nash type that's been entering last while, so's probably missed some.

5567 Scarecrow
Description: Episode 2.2
(approx. 15 minutes before the end)

1. They were bound back to back (arm on their side) using white rope, no gag. Amanda worries about her mother and her children: "I must call them!" Scarecrow: "And tell them that you are tied up? Funny, but it's real!"

2. After the villain left the room, Scarecrow ask Amanda to move the chairs to a pedestal (with a beautiful China vase on top of the pedestal)
3. Scarecrow ask Amanda to use their head together to tilt the pedestal. The Vase crash into the floor.
4. Scarecrow ask Amanda to flip the chair to the side. He said: "Use your shoulder to break the fall". After falling to the floor: Amanda: "Ouch, It hurts! Hurry Up please"
5. Scarecrow use the broken vase to cut the rope: "I am cutting it as fast as possible!"

[big list of Brianisms]

Yikes! I had no idea I was putting together a guide book!

Anyway, if you feel it should have been deleted, based
on your interpretation of scripture, that's fine by me.

Well, stuff like hand-gags only. It's not my intention
to second guess anyone, if I thought it was definitely
in error I would have just restored it.

Frankly, you and the others are better plugged in as
far as which entries stay and which go.

Is that a hard and fast rule that solo handgags are persona non grata? I've always considered them part of the family ... second cousins, perhaps.

Anyway, if you feel it should have been deleted,"

Posted those to answer Perl's question right off.

I'll have to check notes for that one in particular, as can't recall it.

Re: Perl's Entry- Offhand
Just off hand, I would have pulled-reworded it as such:

Record #8290

Title: Party Girl
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Christine Taylor

Description: Episode: "Virgin Mary" (1.2)

"The library obtains a collection of medieval bondage devices."
"Mary has produced an elaborate "fashion show" in which all of her friends are modeling the various bondage devices."

Here would have looked into if anyone bound in any of these items, those ladies would be mentioned in description.

Moving this to the bottom line of entry:
Mary decides to try on the chastity belt (over her jeans, of course), only to accidentally get locked in it. At the end, Mary lifts her skirt to reveal the chastity belt (sans jeans).

Reasons being:
The skirt, pantyhose, heels, boots, chloro, blindfold etc etc etc, comments all in bottom of entry, with bondage mentioned first, and haven't been a problem for awhile.
Same with the (burqa?) or whatever the Arabs call it? Can go in the bottom after tied-up, chained up etc.

So's figure should be same for chastity belt scene.
