Tuesday October 24 01:32:55 2006 Blade The Series EP Correction |
Regarding this record:
Record number: 12197 Title: Blade: The Series Medium: TV Series Actress: Unknown Description: Episode: Unknown In the opening, we see an unknown waitress tied hands in front gagged with a bandanna. She's pulled from the trunk of a car & put in the back of a truck. Later, after a vampire gets out of 1 side of a coffin, he opens the other side to reveal the waitress bound hands in front still but not gagged. The 2nd comes much later in the show. A very pregnant woman is single cuffed to a hospital bed. Blade rescues her by cutting the cuff with his sword. But in the coming attractions, the same pregnant woman is single cuff by Blade! Editor Note: Favoured ep: "Hunters" (1.10) for this one ---------------------- The episode number on the above entry is wrong. I just finished clipping ep 1x10 and it is the one with multiple girls, all chained in their respective scenes, etc. There is no bandana gag, nor any pregnant women in this one I just clipped. In fact, there are 3 separate damsels in this one and the ones that are gagged are all gagged with grey tape. Just wanted to let you know. |

When someone posts up on Discussion, (and most times it's from US), the boy here goes to an air-sched (like Brian's) and tries to determine ep title and such. Check it with epguides.com etc From notes: This one from US and guide check was "SPIKE" channel. Perhaps a year down the road? Space/Imagination channel will announce this one a "new series". Then I can confirm the whole thing. Like now, with Space/Imagination *new* series "Alias"! ;) |

> Enjoyed the preview clip huh? > I have to go put that in the Database Jay, Thanks for sharing this episode of Teukbyeol Susabonbu. One of the things that puzzles me is how episode numbers are attached to the clips by the clippers, whoever they may be. For example, I have another clip of this show which is already labeled "police investigation 6" and yet is clearly Brian's db no. 11916 (it is indeed the sixth listed in the db). I have two others, labeled "3" (no. 11893, which is fifth in the db) and "5" (no. 11849, which is third in the db; go figure). Now comes the one you just sent me, labeled "06" (12291), which is 11th in the db, and clearly not the same as the "06" I already had. Whew! My way of handling this is, simply, to ignore the clippers' numbers and go with the db. Which is okay until someone out of the goodness of their heart sends me another one that is labeled like one I have, but is clearly different, as in this case. Sometimes it takes only a tiny bit of work to ID it, but other times leads to considerable sleuthing, and occasional frustration. It makes me all the more grateful for the groundbreaking work of those who helped put together Brian's db, and why I continue to try to help refine it as best I can when I come up with puzzles. I appreciate being included in this one. I had a related thought: maybe Brian's Forum could have a subdivision for people who would like to post their "unknowns" so that members of the community could ID them (and of course view them). I've got lots, and I'm sure others do as well. I was helping out KaoWi with his unknowns and it was sort of fun doing the sleuthing, but my own unknowns are what they are because my own knowledge and/or detective abilities didn't help. What think you of this idea? Dannysuling |

What think you of this idea? If you want, send me your unknowns and I'll put out a "bunch o unknowns" update to the leeches^K^K^K^K^K^Kpeople on my list ;) They've been pretty helpful in the past with ids like that. |

"Jay, Thanks for sharing this episode of Teukbyeol Susabonbu." "Teukbyeol Susabonbu", I didn't know that. Good work. I'll get after that later "One of the things that puzzles me" Okay, go slow here. "police investigation 6" "Police Investigation" is what my (Canadian) air-sched has listed for this show. Those numbers, "06", etc, are due to you not being able to have 2-more clips with the same title on your computer. I'm saving them to fill a disk before sending down to Brian R. Understand? So you get my passaround clips just ignore those numbers. |

Or the 6th entered into the DB. Put in Police Investigation in title and count down the results, then compare. Record number: 11916 match your other "06"? Also, the descript is being worked out whilst clip being made. Entry posted along with the passaround, etc. So those will be the most recent entries. This case, The passaround went in as Record number: 12291. So you could wait till entered then rename "Police Investigation 12291" instead of "06" |

The IMdB calls it something else, something like "Special Investigation Unit" which apparently began in the 1970s. > Those numbers, "06", etc, are due to you not being able > to have 2-more clips with the same title on your > computer. Not in this case, I always relabel my files with complete info before storing them, so new stuff isn't likely to conflict. In this case, it wasn't a conflict. It's just that I noticed I already had a clip that had been identified as "6" and then had to check whether your "06" was identical. It wasn't, and that sent me into the database, which was how I got your recent ID number. > I'm saving them to fill a disk before sending down to > Brian R. > Understand? Sounds like a good project. Interesting idea! 'Course, the project is a big one. I've got probably well over a hundred unknowns, maybe much more--most of them, as Jay noted, from Asia. Maybe we could do ten at a time, every week or two? How would I get them to you? I'm not that sophisticated about file transfers. Usually for a collection of clips I've zipped them to Rapidshare and sent the link to people. Would that work for you? Any other way? I've got a gmail account too, but would prefer to keep that one "clean"--you know how it is. Thoughts? |
