| Cheers Jim 55. Brief view of gorgeous young Lesley Manville being rescued on a houseboat. There's a lot more to her scene - saw it on tv as a kid. Scene where she's menaced on the houseboat by the baddies with some nice close-ups. Lesley sports a wide microfoam or white elastoplast tapegag with great lip outlines. If Watch All Night can finally appear in great quality maybe King Cinder will do likewise on the same Y-T channel. The series still exists in the archives; it hasn't been junked like so many of its contemporaries so here's hoping one day. |

| Though not as common in the US as in the UK and Europe elasoplast or similar tapegags have definitely been used - probably more in the 60s and 70s before duct started to take over in the 80s. Marlo Thomas' great little scene in the pilot of 60s comedy That Girl springs immediately to mind and there's probably many others during that era. Still live in hope that microfoam will eventually enter mainstream fare and even replace duct. Actresses would find it way more comfortable and "we" would love it! |

Too long I have lived with just that little teaser clip in the 'Peter Duncan in King Cinder' YT video. It can be surprising how much vintage TV seems to languish in the hands of private collectors which then surfaces online at random. Things like Watch All Night never made it to (for example) a Network DVD. But now Network is gone so perhaps more of these super forgotten shows might be shared with us by collectors presumably now sure they'll never turn up otherwise. |

The intruder ties her hands in front, and she's cleave-gagged with a knotted patterned cloth (there are passersby outside of the room, so he has to keep her quiet).
