Yt-dlp is what I use for YouTube and other non-encrypted sites, because it's frequently updated and will get the premium high bitrate content without a premium subscription, will get subtitles as srt files (which you can translate to your language), will get things from hundreds of other places including many TV sites (BBC iPlayer, ARD.de etc etc) and is free. But it's a command line tool, so you'll need to type stuff, which not everyone is comfortable with. If you want something with a user interface, I'm sure someone else will recommend something they use. |
