From what I've been reading (at least in the past day), the main attraction of a 64-bit system is to make use of more than 4GB of RAM. 32-bit systems can only go up to about 3.5GB and no more. So I take it in a decade's time we'll all be boasting about how we're using 30GB of RAM in our flashy 64-bit systems, right? |
