This page is for posting links to online streaming video, Youtube and things like that. The rules are somewhat looser than Discussion. You can post and discuss mainstream and related amateur video. Do not post clips from commercial videos. It's usually not that hard to tell the difference.

There are no clips here. I think he means that there is discussion of clips on this site that might also violate copyright law. Of course, the entire original point is misguided, because copyright law is not criminal law. If a site is breaking copyright rules, that's his problem (assuming anyone wants to do anything about it- unlikely), and not ours for discussing it. |

Show me any legislation or prior cases that > supports this. Are you serious? It's just Copyright 101 that you can't copy and sell someone else's work. (There are exceptions such as fair use, but that's the rule.) It's like you asking me to list all the times the Blues have lost since 1967. Trust me. They have. Guys like Anubis have long said they would respond to legitimate requests from copyright holders to remove copyrighted material. And in his case, that's a FREE site. If someone is charging for use of the material, well, that person is obviously vunerable to a lawsuit on the issue...not that such a suit is likely. And since real life examples are lacking, I can't give you specifics of what such cases would entail. But to at least those cappers who are selling copyrighted material, they are in a potential no-no land. I don't get the "nonsense" part. |
