| Two more 2008-lakorns paid off these days: 1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QIwHrhZZ48 "Supab Burut Satan" is a so-called "revenge-lakorn" (lakorns classified as such normally have high DID-potential): A young guy (the hero) seeks revenge for the death of some relative, and he puts the blame on a rich family; he introduces himself as a competent bodyguard for the family's beautiful and spoiled daughter (super beautiful Thai/Indian-actress Savika "Pinky" Chayadej - she normally does not play "victims" 'cause she's an expert in martial arts, therefore probably her first full-treatment). "Pinky" always tries to humiliate the guy (of course, she'll love him in the end;)), in this case while he's her driver: First the guy handgags her very long (lots of mmmphing), then she's able to escape from the car and goes on "talking dirty" to him. He grabs her, then takes a roll of blue ducttape (blue tape in Thai tv seems to be the equivalent to green tape in Korean tv) out of the car and gags "Pinky" onscreen with a wraparound strip. The young lady tries to fight him and mmmphs without interruption, but the guy goes on taping her arms and legs (she's kicking at him - as I said, a martial arts-expert:)) onscreen. Then he throws her onto the street (a very busy road, but Thai-extras in lakorns do not seem to be very interested in what's going on outside their cars). After more gag-talking from "Pinky" (her gag has changed a bit, it's been put on a second time off camera, but it's still wrapped around her head) the guy helps her up, ungags und unties her onscreen. But "Pinky" is not very grateful and now it's HER who ties and gags the guy onscreen from behind with wraparound tape (he frees himself after a short while). Finally they get into the car again and drive off. 2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJYBbx77xHY "Sadtroo Koo Kwarn" is a lakorn dealing with a young woman (pretty actress Jiranan "Yui" Manojam) who tries to save two little children (one boy, one girl) from gangsters, catastrophes etc (of course with the help off a good guy). In ep.'s 29.3 and 29.4, "Yui" and the children've been kidnapped by the baddies (she's been chloroformed onscreen, later all three are sitting in the well-known silver minivan tied hands behind); right at the start of ep. 30.1, "Yui" is shown being tied hands behind to a chair in a room, otm-gagged with a white triangular-folded cloth (she's already had 3 otms and one cleave so far, this should be her 5th scene!), while the two children have been tied hands behind and cleave-gagged. "Yui" is left to struggle while the baddies make their escape with the two children; finally, "Yui" is able to untie and ungag herself onscreen (later, the baddies are caught and the children are saved unharmed). |

| Title: Law & Order: Criminal Intent aka Law & Order: CI Medium: TV Series Actress: Marianne Hagan, Stephi Lineburg, Bailey Slattery Description: Episode: "Homo Homini Lupis" (1.14) A loan shark kidnaps an embezzling executive's family as collateral for a huge debt. The ladies are blindfolded, shackled, gagged with duct tape. One character is raped by their menacing captor -- off screen, mercifully. The scene, despite this shortcomming, is a multi-damsel scene (a rare kind of scene that is always welcome in my book) with a reasonable length with some decent close-ups especially those of the mother and the elder daughter. In addition, the mother told the police that she and her daughters were "tied up" in a bathroom at a rest area on the NY Thruway when they were found by her father-in-law. Too bad they did not show the rescue! NOTE - While I'm a regular viewer of L&O CI, I have to admit that this episode actually pissed me off quite a bit. The rape scene, although done off screen was still a frantic upsetting scene. Between the merciless nature of the bad guy, the panic & horror of the Mother & the age of the victim, by the end of the scene I was cursing at the TV screen all by myself in my den. Then to make matters worse, during the following scene, the bad guy suggests to the frightened girl, "This time, you liked it". THIS time. To imply he raped her several times already! This episode had me climbing the walls. To instill such feelings over a written script on a TV show ranks this scene as one of my top 10.
