This page is for posting links to online streaming video, Youtube and things like that. The rules are somewhat looser than Discussion. You can post and discuss mainstream and related amateur video. Do not post clips from commercial videos. It's usually not that hard to tell the difference.

Im curious This is easier than it sounds: It does download as a QT file on a mac, however, it doesn't play as a stand alone QT movie, if you download and click on it it will say error and not play. You need a player like mplayer v 2.0 for mac. Mplayer 2.0 is free on a lot of sites including the mplayer site and this site: http://mplayer-os-x.en.softonic.com/mac and at the link below (at your own risk) However, I have a non intel mac v 10.4.10, QT v. 7.1.3 and an Mplayer v. 2.0 and that works for me, don't know about you. Once you get mplayer for mac in your applications (download and install and restart), put the icon on your toolbar, after you download a movie that seems not to play, open your mplayer window, select the movie from the mplayer toolbar and it should open and play perfectly. I have opened many movie files that originated from pc's and that others have said, like this one, that it's impossible to play. Mplayer is a great program for difficult to play videos. |

Thanks for confirming that everything was OK. If you can't get the clip to play (it's an MPG file, not QT) try one of the excellent (e.g. Nero) free CODECS available at http://www.free-codecs.com/. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Codec for additional explaination. I can explain these things to you, but I can't help you understand them. To everyone who enjoyed the last clip, here's another. Feedback welcome. http://rapidshare.com/files/112638391/Wolf_Creek.mpg.html |

The symbols around the letters were very difficult to pick up, and the file then did not work. There was no longer any time after all of that to mess around with downloading and installing additional players. So they could well work, but after wasting too much time waiting for a download ticket and trying to pick out cat symbols, there were going to be no further attempts to dick around with the file. |

Found the complete cast: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Shao_Nian_Huang_Fei_Hong The lady in riding boots may well be actress Hao Lei, but I'm going to research it more intensively. |

The lady in riding boots IS actress Hao Lei, playing the main female character "Aunt 13" (aka 13th Aunt, in the movie from 1991 [Once upon a time in China] this character was played by actress Rosamund Kwan); her "western" clothing can be explained by the fact that she learned about western culture. |

Not sure I understand this, are you saying it's okay to tell a guy who gives a good link that his link is bad when it's not, and it's okay to complain about having to put in code letters and other things when that's not the problem? But it's not okay to respond to the complainers and defend the link as good? I also put in the message how to download it properly. It felt to me like people were hassling the guy who put in a good link to a good scene, in fact several people were telling him to do it differently, kind of demanding it actually, like he had done something wrong. To me, that's not cool, why didn't you write anything about that? But I do agree, I propably shouldn't have said anyone was not computer savy, I should have just helped them, so sorry about that. It just seemed like people were complaining about a good link and were not asking for intelligent help. |

Here's a scene comparable to the one "skezemuth" posted some days ago, from the telenovela "Trapos Intimos" with damsel Marlene de Andrade: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsjaC13OCA She gets tied up together with a guy by two robbers: Both are standing in their underwear body to body, and they get onscreen encircled with tape; she argues with the guy until she gets tape-gagged onscreen, followed by the guy. They are left in their predicament and the clip ends. Funny scene with no violence. |

We weren't saying the link was bad. It was just way too hard to pick out those cat symbols around the letters. Someone at the main page just posted that complaint again, which is the only reason I dare to respond to this. After waiting twice for a download ticket and just being lucky enough to get the right letters the second time, enough was enough. Apologies in advance for prolonging this. I just don't want it to seem like we're bashing people who provide scenes. |

How did the cracks about not be savvy add ANYTHING to the message? It was a gratitious insult for no good reason. Your post was very nearly deleted. Because it did have some information in it, I let it ride with the warning. |
