| Hey, all. Sorry for being super late. I messed up because my memory was playing tricks on me; for some reason I thought that #3 was Schizoid, and I realized my mistake halfway through editing it! Anyway, here are both edits. Schizoid is a 4K Zoom, and this time I used a different method than before (you betrayed me, Cineform codec! I thought we were friends!): I exported all the DiD stuff frame-by-frame and worked on those, to ensure the best image quality. I also applied a subtle noise-reduction filter to get rid of the film grain while retaining the details (I know Sam avoids film grain like the plague). I have a bad habit of patting myself in the back too much, but I am very proud of this edit and I believe it's the closest we'll ever get to the promotional stills in the back of those VHS boxes. 99.9 is sourced from the Blu-ray. The video quality is great but the disc has one of the most atrocious 5.1 mixes I've ever heard. Oh, my God, how did they *beep* this up? I tried my best to make the actors' voices sound good by EQ-ing the living lights out of it. I apologize for the hollow-like sounds in the background. I'm also including the good parts from the making of documentary, slightly compressed with Handbrake and with optional English subtitles. It's a quick and dirty edit because the documentary is a terrible 1080p upscale of an SD source, so I didn't bother with it too much. If I ever get my hands on the original untouched SD documentary, I'll upscale it myself and color-grade it. Schizoid didn't have any extras of note, but there is an interview with actress Donna Wilkes where she provides a shocking piece of trivia: after the damsels free themselves with the pair of scissors and Wilkes' character uses it to attack the bad guy, Wilkes accidentally stabbed Craig Wasson for real. She was supposed to hit a protective shoulder pad that Wasson was wearing under his shirt, but she missed it and stabbed him in the back because he was moving around during his fight scene with Klaus Kinski. His scream is 100% real. The actor managed to stay in character despite the pain. Fortunately, the injury was not serious and the two actors remained friends after the film's shooting. I also found a commentary in an earlier Blu-ray, but it was just two guys who wouldn't shut up about Kinski... | which site do ya'll use to Torrent movies, especially those really niche movies (limited releases to specific country etc.) Sometimes, the usual streaming sites like 123 doesn't have it and I really want to watch those bondage scenes in such movies. |
