Record number: 2447 Title: Sabrina, the Teenage Witch (1996) Medium: TV Series Actress: Lindsay Sloane, Caroline Rhea, Beth Broderick Description: Episode: "Sabrina and the Pirates" (3.15) Sabrina and Valerie (Sloane) are trying to get into a club at 9mins, having already tried twice before, when the bouncer asks for ID. As Sabrina presents their fake IDs, Valerie (Lindsay Sloane) pipes up with "They're not fake, if that's what you're thinking!" This prompts Sabrina to give her a brief handgag to shut her up. Back home, aunts Hilda (Rhea) and Zelda (Broderick) have been left in charge of a band of pirates....... At 16mins, Sabrina arrives home to find her aunts sitting back-to-back on chairs, hands tied to each other behind the backrests with rope, and each gagged with a wide strip of black gaffer tape. Lots of angry squealing and mmpphhing before they are ungagged onscreen by Sabrina. She then tries to magic the ropes away, but this fails to work because the fake IDs also rendered her powers fake. A minute later she returns downstairs, only to stumble upon a full-blown pirate reenactment in the living room. The aunts now have their hands tied in front, and are forced to "walk the plank" (actually a table). Cue a swordfight with Sabrina having to take on the pirates, while the aunts babble on. Zelda soon gets her free via magic, but only at 19mins does aunt Hilda get her hands free. Times taken from the DVD release. |
