Lois & Clark
Day: Sunday November 18 2012
Time: 8:00 PM & 11:00 PM Eastern
Channel: The Hub
Record number: 2545

Title: Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993)
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Teri Hatcher

Description: Episode: "Dead Lois Walking" (4.7)

Convicted as a murderer and sentenced to death, Lois Lane becomes a woman on the run when Clark breaks her out of prison. Using her reporter's instincts she tracks down the man who framed her, the evil Professor Cole (Alan Rachins).

The knowledge may not do her any good, because Cole grabs her, ties her to a chair (wrists bound to the chair's arms and ankles together) and gags her with a blue bandanna. Then, from his belltower hideout, they watch the storm of the century decend on Metropolis, with it's raindrops laced with green poison globs.

Of course, Hubby comes to the rescue, after about six minutes or so. The scene begins around the 50' mark.

The Prisoner of Zenda
Day: Sunday November 18 2012
Time: 8:00 AM Eastern
Channel: TCM
Record number: 11971

Title: The Prisoner of Zenda (1937)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Eleanor Wesselhoeft

Description: Between fifteen and twenty minutes in, she's drugged and left roped to a chair and wrap-gagged. The scene is exactly like Kathleen Freeman's in the 1952 Technicolor film version of this story, right down to the dialogue, which is understandable since the latter film was made as a shot-for-shot duplicate of the original.

Title: Next (2007)
Medium: Movie
Actress: Jessica Biel

Description: At 1hr 1mins, Biel is walking along a lonely road when a car pulls up alongside. She puts her hands up as a bad guy points a gun at her. She is next seen at 1hr 4mins, being viewed on a TV monitor by Nicolas Cage's character in a series of precognitive flashbacks: wearing jeans & a cute pink sleeveless top, she's seated in a wheelchair with her hands bound behind her back with a black ziptie, and her ankles spread and ziptied to the wheelchair, and she is gagged with a strip of grey duct tape. An intricate bomb setup is also strapped to her upper body.

The flashbacks continue at 1hr 9mins, this time in full view with some close-ups. Later still, in a non-flashback sequence at 1hr 13mins, Biel is carried out of a van still in her aforementioned wheelchair predicament. We're now treated to some great close-ups as she struggles, looks around with a wide-eyed expression & mmpphhs slightly. All scenes of her bound & gagged are then over at 1hr 14mins. No release shown.

However, she isn't out of trouble yet, as she is immediately shown being led into another van (or the same one as before......who knows?) completely unbound but still with the bomb strapped to her. After the van crashes in a chase/shootout, she escapes into a warehouse. At 1hr 18mins, after some sneaking around in the darkness, the same bad guy as before handgags her tightly in a very quick sequence; but she does manage to let out a nice mmpphh.

After an armed stand-off, Biel is finally released unharmed at 1hr 25mins..

Perry Mason
Day: Sunday November 18 2012
Time: 8:00 PM Eastern
Channel: Hallmark Movie Channel
Record number: 2691

Title: Perry Mason: The Case Of The Telltale Talk Show Host (1993)
Medium: TV Movie
Actress: Alex Datcher

Description: Ms. Datcher plays a cop who gets nabbed by the bad guy while posing undercover as a prostitute. She's bound wrists-behind-back and gagged on-screen with silver duct tape and left in a basement. Later on her streetwalker friend comes downstairs, wakes her up and quickly takes the gag off. Neither scene is very long at all, and the lighting isn't great (the bad guy shuts off the light when he goes upstairs), but she is gagged on-screen and lets out a nice 'mmmmmmpph' as her mouth is taped. Also both scenes with her have decent but quick closeups. A great example of quality over quantity in terms of a DID scene.

Incidentally, this TV movie was Raymond Burr's last performance as Perry Mason.

Action begins around the 65' mark and ends about 90' in.
