He tears a sheet apart as he holds her & the rest of the house is banging at the bedroom door. The next shot shows her sitting the front seat of his convertible, tied (presumeably, you don't see her hands) and cleave gagged. The gag remains on for about 30 seconds or so, great lighting & close-ups. Some struggling with the gag but no mmpphhh-ing. A few seconds later he unties her hands as they drive away to wedded bliss. Interestingly, this is Leila's second gag scene (the other being The Bishop Murder Case), and both were cleave gags, rare in ANY 30's movie, let alone two, and both with the same actress! |
