Record number: 6241 Title: Joy Ride (2001) aka Roadkill Medium: Movie Actress: Leelee Sobieski, Jessica Bowman Description: Venna Wilcox (Sobieski) is captured by the killer and used as bait. Venna is handgagged in a dark corn field at about 1:12 into the movie. She is held captive in a hotel room, tied onscreen to a chair, arms behind, with several turns of clear pallet (plastic) wrap and gagged with Saran Wrap that is wrapped around her head several times. This happens at about 1h16m in. There is a shotgun at the door, rigged to go off if anyone opens it. The scene is switched back and forth to several times. Numerous close-ups and wonderful mmmppphing by Leelee. Towards the end of the film (around 1:30), there's a brief scene where "Charlotte" (Jessica Bowman) is seen (in the cab of a truck) wearing a very tight dark-colored bandana cleave gag. Shot is from the head up with no ropes or restraints visible. Scene is approx 4 minutes long when you cut out the side scenes. Not a short scene. On the "Special Edition" DVD, there is a long alternate ending where Ms. Bowman is found suspended inside of a railroad car. Unfortunately it is shot from about fifteen feet away and only "lit" by police flashlights. Her hands are chained together in front of her and there are chains wrapped around her arms and body. Can't tell if she's gagged or not. Either way, she starts screaming and kicking when a policeman touches her. Later, Ms. Sobieski is abducted, then discovered inside the trucker's trailer with her hands strapped slightly above head level to slats of a crate she's standing against. No gag. Neither of the bondage scenes from the film's theatrical version appear in this alternate ending. Title: Van Helsing (2016) Medium: TV Series Actress: Kelly Overton Description: Episode: "It Begins" (1.13) Vanessa Helsing (Overton) was captured in the previous episode and spends roughly half of this episode in various bondage predicaments. She is being used for experiments in a creepy facility. All times mentioned are not including commercials. As soon as the episode opens, Overton wakes up and realizes she is strapped down to a table and begins struggling. She has a metal mask, which is attached to the table, clamped down over her face. She is then shown strapped down by the wrists and ankles. A lengthy discussion between her and the villain ensues. She is seen on this table for almost 10 mins straight. At 5 mins, the mask is removed by the doctor. Overton begs to be let go, only for the doctor to protest. He injects her with a substance, and at about 6 mins he clamps the mask back onto her. After some intimidation from the doctor, she struggles violently at 7.5 mins. At 8 mins, the doctor loosens her right wrist strap. At 9 mins, she is writhing and struggling to breathe as a zombie approaches her. She attacks the zombie with her free right wrist and escapes from the table. As she is attempting to escape the facility, she meets a clothesline from a guard and gets recaptured. We next see her back in the same creepy room at 14:50. She has a shackle around her neck connected to chains that connect to the high ceiling. She is also shackled up at the wrists and ankles, with chains connecting. She is being made to stand on her tiptoes. The villain forces her to feed off of blood. She remains bound like this straight through, up until around 22 mins. She has a long, dramatic conversation with a former friend before she stabs herself. Immediately following, she is seen in the same room strapped down to a medical chair. An IV of blood is connected to her, and she is passed out. At 23 mins, we can see the straps on her wrists. The villain is talking to her while she is in this state. This scene ends at about 25 mins, and this is the last we see of her bound in the episode. Throughout the entire episode, she is wearing a white smock and is barefoot. |
