Record number: 1435 Title: Caged (1950) Medium: Movie Actress: Eleanor Parker Description: Classic that served as the model for the women-in-prison explotation flicks a generation later. Parker plays a young wife in on a questionable rap as an accessory to an armed robbery her husband committed. About an hour in she gets sent to solitary after assaulting the prison's sadistic lead matron (Hope Emerson). On her way to the hole, they take a little detour to the matron's office, where she's shoved into a chair and her arms are pulled behind her and held by another matron. When she realizes the lead matron is about to cut off her hair, she begins screaming, prompting her tormentor to wrap-gag her with a folded towel, which she holds together behind Parker's head with one hand while administering the haircut. The scene's in the second half. |

Some tricky customers have latched onto Tarzan and her in order to steal a cache of diamonds from the locals. When things go awry, Jane gets grabbed and strapped down on a sort of bed, above which is a nasty spiked hinged plate that drops down and skewers anyone beneath. The scene is pretty limited and we do not get a good full-length view of her. |

Record number: 3508 Title: The Rifleman Medium: TV Series Actress: Enid James Description: Episode: "The Wyoming Story, Part Two" (3.21) After an epidemic of hoof-and-mouth disease wipes out his cattle herd, Lucas agrees to take on the job as a government secret agent to infiltrate a gang who is selling rifles to the Indians. There's a nice handgag by Lucas McCain when he tries to keep Enid from blowing his cover. She is later found bound and gagged in a chair. A single shot but a fairly long one. She is detective gagged with a bandana, with a folded up hanky between her teeth. Later in the episode, she's captured and beaten (off screen) by the bad guys. Still later, the brains heavy opens a closet door and shows Enid tied to a chair, badly beaten. She's not gagged in this scene. |

After that, we see him tieing her hand together to a bedpost. (She's possibly naked?) Second scene, she is bound to a chair with rope, tape gagged, and threatened with a boiling kettle by villians. Third scene, tied with hands behind her back and gagged with black tape while riding in a car and lastly very tightly bound hands in front to a radiator, and gagged with black tape in a hotel room. Beware as there are some serious scenes in which she is beaten and/or violently threatened by her jealous boyfriend. |
