(Hand-gagging, good mmpphhing". She is then strapped down to a gurney as scientist test to see if she is an alien. About 20 minutes later in the film, she is bound to a chair with scarves in her dressing room and gagged. Short scenes, but really quite energetic. Lastly, at the end of this movie she is shown chained to a fence at a protest. |

Some nice mmphhing. |

Record number: 8420 Title: Life of David Gale, The (2003) Medium: Movie Actress: Kate Winslet, Laura Linney Description: Scene 1 occurs about 65 minutes (1:05) into the movie, lasts a couple of minutes. You see a videotaped image of Laura Linney's character, nude on her stomach on a kitchen floor. Her hands are handcuffed behind her and she's gagged with duct tape and suffocating from a plastic bag sealed over her head. Ends badly. Scene 2 occurs about 30 minutes later, approx. 95 minutes (1:35) into the movie. This is with Kate Winslet, playing a reporter, re-creating the death as part of her investigation. Kate's character is fully clothed. She tapes her mouth with duct tape, then ties a bag over her head and handcuffs herself. Her reporting partner is standing by to tear away the bag in a couple of minutes. Some good closeups of Kate's face. Kate starts struggling and mmmmmphing, and her buddy tears off the bag. Good closeup of her gagged face for a second or two after the bag comes off. Scene 3, which is less than 10 minutes later. We get to see Linney's character tape her own mouth and then put the bag on. Scene ends quickly from there. At the very end of the film is a sort-of Scene 4, in which you see slightly more of the videotape with the body of Linney's character still handcuffed, gagged and bagged. |

Very nice stuff! |

This one is not in the DB, but I have it on tape....though I canNOT find my copy at the moment! Anywhooo, my details may be a bit sketchy, but as the title implies, this episode is a Herculean parody of "Les Miserables" and things French. Herc and sidekick play a couple of rogues who are abetted by a fetching lass [name??] of noble birth and uncertain sympathies. About 20 minutes in [best estimate], she is arrested by government troops, who bind her and prepare her for the guillotine. She struggles nicely in her revealing period costume before our reluctant heroes come to her rescue. I'll re-tape this one and make an entry in the DB if I'm able. |
