Record number: 532 Title: Memories of Midnight (1991) Medium: TV Movie Actress: Jane Seymour Description: Once upon a time, Sidney Sheldon's novel "Memories of Midnight" was made into a looong TV movie starring Jane Seymour. She is bound to a chair and snugly overgagged in a boiler room. The boiler has been rigged to blow up within a few minutes. She struggles for all she's worth and not surprisingly manages to get loose just in time. The sequence lasts about three minutes, and to be safe I'd say it's within the last forty minutes. I saw it on USA, airing with "themed" filler material, and it popped with about 33' left. It may begin later in a LIFETIME or other network presentation. |

Record number: 2780 Title: Spy Hard (1996) Medium: Movie Actress: Nicolette Sheridan aka Nicollette Sheridan, Stephanie Romanov, Julie Payne Description: Leslie Neilsen (as Agent WD40) sends up the James Bond and other movies in this fun fest. The two chief females are Nicolette Sheridan (Agent 3.14) and Stephanie Romanov (Barbara Dahl) who get themselves variously tied and fettered in the cause of a good story. The evil General Rancor (played by Andy Griffith, with detachable arms) has Romanov chained to a dungeon-like wall, hands apart, in five scenes spread throughout the film. The first of these is around the 15 minute mark. General Rancor sends a video to the President and Steele, on the cover is a picture of her Romanov strapped to a rocket, presaging the actual scene. About 30 minutes before the end, Agent 3.14 is captured by the villain in a dark alley. She is held hostage inside a hospital/monastery, strapped down to a gurney, and drugged. Steele (dressed as nun) rescues her, pinning the Mother Superior to the wall with the gurney and silencing her with a impromptu blood pressure cuff gag. Approximately 15 minutes before the end, Romanov is taken from the dungeon and strapped (hands apart) to the rocket. General Rancor locks the straps using remote control. Lots of struggling. Agent WD40 has but 36 hours to release the captive before she is blasted into space. In the end the General is blasted off himself thanks to our intrepid hero. No gags. |

Record number: 8187 Title: Instinct to Kill aka Perfect Husband, The (2001) Medium: Movie Actress: Tracy Voyek, Melissa Crider, unknown Description: Very violent action movie starring Mark Dacascos as a martial arts/self-defense expert who comes to the aid of a frightened woman (Crider) whose vengeful, abusive ex-cop husband escapes from prison after having tried to kill her by putting a plastic bag over her head. About 45 minutes into the film, after he's tried to do away with his mother-in-law the same way, he slips into the hospital she's been taken to so he can finish the job. When cop Kadeem Hardison shows up, he's using the mother-in-law as a shield, stuff-gagged with a white cloth and a stethoscope wrapped tightly around her neck. Her hands are behind her as if they're tied but they're never shown. Unfortunately, the husband kills her by shooting through her to wound the cop. After fleeing the hospital, he moves on to a rendezvous with Gina (Voyek), one of his wife's girlfriends. At about an hour in she ends up bound with lots of duct tape to a chair, a bag over her head to elicit his wife's whereabouts from her. He leaves her to suffocate after she writes "I don't know" on a piece of paper he hands her. Then about fifteen minutes later he abducts the wife of Hardison's character, tying her to a tree by a rope around her neck with her hands duct-taped together in front. He gags her with another piece of duct tape and ties a bag over her head to convince her husband to reveal where his own wife is. He shoots both to death after getting the information he was after. Finally. it's Crider's turn. She's handgagged, then tied lying on the floor with her hands behind (once again, they're never explicitly shown) and gagged with duct tape, although her husband takes off the gag before putting the bag over her head. The ending is pretty standard, with Crider writhing and gasping on the floor while Dacascos and the baddie fight it out. |
