Tuesday September 27 09:47:47 2016 Whatever happened |
FX is going to produce a series on the making of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. Mostly it is going to be on the feud of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. It is going to star Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange, don't know which is which. Since the movie had something, maybe they will re-enact it for this series |

(unsigned poster) wrote: > ID? > 1:Record number: 8614 Title: The Scarlet Claw (1944) aka Sherlock Holmes and the Scarlet Claw Medium: Movie Actress: Victoria Horne Description: In the last 20 minutes or so of this Sherlock Holmes entry, Holmes finds Victoria tied hand & foot and OTM gagged in a closet. Holmes opens door, pulls the lady out, carries her to a chair, ungags her, and asks "Who did this?". Wearing a slip. 2:Record number: 16247 Title: Man With a Camera (1959) Medium: TV Series Actress: Claudia Barrett Description: Episode: "The Bride" (2.09) This show was an early Charles Bronson vehicle and featured a series of stunning late-50s and early-60s actresses as guest players each week; this episode featured the voluptuously beautiful Claudia Barrett. (Why she never got past the episodic-TV guest-role phase in her career eludes me, and she did a lot of those; what little I have seen of her shows her acting ability and the camera certainly loved her.) This show was also from the age of the 30-minute drama. About thirteen minutes in (on the DVD), Barrett (who plays Jane Cowan) is accosted by two villains, grabbed roughly and hand-gagged as she is hustled into a back office after trying to put the squeeze on the villains for misusing her modeling photos (Bronson plays a photographer, so many of the plots have some connection to models). Immediately after the break following her being hand-gagged, we see her being tied to a chair (wrists tied tightly to the arms of the chair; the villains also know how to tie properly), cleave-gagged convincingly and tightly, and her ankles tied cross-wise. This scene continues off and on for the rest of the episode. Barrett is freed briefly at one point, and after she fulfills the villains' instructions, she makes a break for it, giving us a second capture-and-tie-up scene. The two times she is ungagged, she really sells the viewer that she has been tightly gagged for a long time. She also mmmphs and struggles wonderfully. Barrett wears a period tight-fitting dress and high-heeled pumps, and is a prototypical beautiful woman of the late 1950s. If she were transported to this year, she'd still be a knockout; a timeless beauty. When the lead villain tells the other to "tie up that doll, and tie her up good," he describes her perfectly. Absolutely great scene, although the bad guys are a bit rough on the DiD at one point. |

I think this killed her movie career: Record number: 590 Title: Robot Monster (1953) Medium: Movie Actress: Claudia Barrett Description: Yes, it's one of the dumbest movies ever, but it has a couple of scenes. First, she's tied up by her family to keep her from running off. Later she's captured by the monster, and kept tied up in his cave. Neither scene has a gag. She didn't show much acting ability in this. The only talent she showed was her 36DD talent. Considering the film, that was enough for me though. She is a real beauty, however, and thanks for bringing to my attention that she had a full treatment. |

Tuesday September 27 13:21:06 2016 Dick Powells Zane Gray Theater |
I have noticed that Grit is playing a lot of episodes of Zane Gray Theater. It seems like a show that would have had more than a few scenes. It was way before my time & I never saw it in reruns. There is nothing in the DB. Does anyone have any scene memories we can look out for? |

I wrote what I didn't like about the scene and that I wasn't interested in the scene. All of that is considered on topic. Taking the show off my DVR schedule was a small part of my post. |

Chloe Bennet gets tied to a chair briefly duct taped gagged on tonight's episode of Agents of Shield. She quickly escapes though. Around the half way mark. Gag enthusiasts rejoice! |

About damn time this show produced something. Here's to hoping the other women of the cast find themselves B&G on it at some point like Elizabeth Henstridge and Cobie Smulders, if Cobie ever returns. With luck she might get a scene in the upcoming Jack Reacher sequel. |

As soon as he does, she uses her powers to get the ropes and tape off. Brief but some nice mmpphhs and one decent shot of her gagged face. She was the one I was least expecting to get a scene this season so a neat little surprise. |

Liked it for what it was though because the unexpectedness of it. |

That is why female super-heroes should never have telekinetic powers. They should always have vocal powers so that when they are captured they will get bound and gagged and stay bound and gagged for quite a while. |

Screencaps for the Chloe Bennet's scene. Quake tied up by the Ghost Rider. The scene is way too brief, she escaped the moment Ghost Rider left the room. At least she made some decent mmphing sound to make up for it. Posting the without gag scene and on screen gag in this thread first |
