You may have seen a shot of this scene (though possibly not actually from the film) in a Carl McGuire column in Bondage Life magazine from around the mid-1990s. |

"Here’s a brand new shot from Brimstone, in which Kit Harington plays an outlaw who has a crucial role in the tale of retribution. Guy Pearce and Dakota Fanning topline with Fanning starring as Liz, a heroine on the run from her past and chased by the evil Preacher (Pearce). Carice van Houten (Valkyrie, “Game of Thrones”) is also part of the cast of the movie by writer-director Martin Koolhoven. The project from Dutch filmmaker Koolhoven has also added to its cast Paul Anderson (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows), Jack Roth (The Great Train Robbery) and Carla Juri (Wetlands)." And yes, that brank is prominently featured. |

In the opening seconds, an extreme close-up of her face shows her frantically pleading with someone who gags her onscreen with a strip of duct tape. A clear plastic bag is then tied over her head, prompting much mmpphhing as she suffocates. A few minutes later, Annalise (Viola Davis) is giving a university lecture, interspersed with footage of her and a cohort deciding what to do with Rebecca's dead body (unbound and ungagged). As they try to figure out who killed her, they decide to stuff her into a suitcase. Another quick flashback of Rebecca at 5mins, suffocating to death. |
