On the DVD of "Las Vegas" season 4, there's an optional track of commentary by the director of the "Heroes" episode and Vanessa Marcil about her epic taped-up in a trunk ordeal. Frustratingly, there's relatively little talk about the bondage and gag. The director is being very careful not to appeal to prurient interests or make the actress uncomfortable. He doesn't even call it a gag but rather "tape on your mouth" or "a thing on your mouth." Her main contribution is to note that the tape gave her a rash everywhere that it was on her bare skin. But mostly they talk about her co-stars and the villain of that episode, who was "really good at being creepy."

I recall reading an interview with Emily Van Camp about her starring in the defunct series Glory Days. She was discussing an episode and mentioned that she had been bound and gagged in that episode, and that her gag was causing her discomfort or something like that.

There is another discussion of this scene, I think it actually aired on the broadcast of Part 2, where Vanessa is in character detailing the prior episode, and she says something like “while the Monticello is being robbed I’m being kidnapped……As for me…. I was tied up…in a box.” Even when Vanessa talked she was so sexy….. if only she said something about her gag.

Wish they used the wrap to gag her instead of the normal cleave

Eliza Dushku said that the film crew left her bound and gagged between takes. She was tied to a bed and gagged with a belt tied between her teeth, as I recall.

Malevolence (2004, in database)

The director goes into detail about how the main actress was a trooper in that she tolerated being tightly taped up for hours to avoid breaking continuity by un-taping and re-taping her in the course of the night during shooting. They had to feed her, etc. Of particular note his niece was also taped up (short scene before she escaped) and he mentioned how some websites w/an interest in bondage may wind up talking about the film (he basically mentioned this site w/o mentioning the name) - I thought that was particularly funny and hypocritical.

Despite a couple of good scenes unfortunately it was an otherwise lame film with poor lighting (cinematographer did not know how to light for film).

Her Deadly Night in Paris
I've taken a glimpse in this new lifetime movie, and even though it had potentials, it was a huge let down. The lead actress (Shifra Zuckerman) is going to Paris as an exchange student, and witnesses a murder. The man responsible, is trying to find ways to get rid of her, and in one of his attempts, one of his men is grabbing her and throws her in the back of the trunk. He is taking her into the woods to kill her, and the only tie on her is having her hands tied in front with zipties. She manages to escape and heads to the house of the man responsible. He, after knocking out his adopted son and wife, ties them both up and we only see his son trying to get loose and remove the gag on him. The scene is brief, and after he is getting lose, he turns to his foster mother, lifts her head and that's the only shot we see her thin cleave gagged lips. It was definitely one of their poorest and ridiculous efforts of all time.

I forgot to mention, just for typical reasons, that the foster mother is being portrayed by Lucile Jaillant.

Re: Her Deadly Night in Paris
Lifetime can, and have, produced amazing scenes over the years. Lately though they keep dropping the ball. Wasting plotlines with excellent potential by not having scenes at all; not gagging damsels or removing gags too quickly, etc. They do seem to at least be increasing the frequency of DiD scenes again after a very lean period. So hopefully a really good scene is imminent. They have featured some very beautiful ladies in recent times, so that's a plus too. Time will tell.

Good Girls Guide to Murder
I saw an article that said Emma Myers was cast as Pip from the good girls guide to murder series show that’s coming out in the future. I know it’ll be a long time from now but her character gets abducted and heavily bound and gagged with duct tape (Very important to the plot) in the 3rd book, so assuming the show takes on the whole trilogy, a scene for Emma is inevitable! That 3rd book also has around 6 girls who are bound and gagged with duct tape so hopefully the show is able to deliver
