Thursday August 04 01:04:12 2016 B&G Scenes In Novelizations |
Many movies often get novelizations and can you recall any instance of a B&G scene from the film being described in the novelization? I still have my old copy of the Small Soldiers junior novel and Kirsten Dunst's now famous scene is decribed in it. Her initial scene with her doll collection lassoing her and sock-gagging her is described. However interesting enough when it gets to her duct tape gag scene later on it simply mentions she's tied to the chair and doesn't specify what she's gagged with. The scene in the book differs in that Alan is described as ungagging her and taking her gag off, whereas in the movie the Archer figure cuts her bound wrist loose, she ungags herself and undoes the rest of her bonds (and of course this has the bit where Alan stupidly asks her if she's okay while she's duct tape gagged). It's also worth noting in the full-color pictures from the film included there's the still of her tied to the chair looking distressed with the duct tape strip hanging from the side of her mouth, which leaves little doubt to the reader what she's gagged with when Alan finds her despite the novel oddly not describing what she's gagged with. |

I forgot to mention of course B&G scenes in novelizations involving damsels, not guys. |

Thank you for the info, a little something else to look forward too for this movie :) |

"The Masque of Mandragora" describes Sarah's B&G scene, but also has another scene where she gets the treatment that wasn't televised (Possibly in script, but dropped due to time constraints) Leela's famous gag scene after bad mouthing the villain in "The Talons of Weng-Chiang" appears in the novelization, but this being by Terrance Dicks, it gets only bare bones prose. BTW, I remember a site dealing with literary B&G scenes that included DW novelization and Nancy Drew. Since I got to it from links, I don't remember what the web adrress was |

A few years ago there was a video game called Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, and there's a point where the protagonist's girlfriend is kidnapped by Darth Vader. We don't see much of it in the actual game, but the novelization has a few chapters devoted to it. She's cuffed and tape-gagged at one point. |
Thursday August 04 10:11:40 2016 Re: B&G Scenes In Novelizations |
The one for The Phantom had a much longer B&G sequence for Kristy Swanson' character, including a regagging |

Oh, to have seen Mary Tamm get the gag in the series! Also, the Desperately Seeking Susan novelization has the titular character getting gagged (albeit with a wig). It also includes the handgag that Madonna got in the movie. I still remember the line: "his hand came down over her mouth like a lead weight." |

Thursday August 04 15:01:59 2016 Alison King (Coronation Street) Interview |
"In 2010 she was involved in the death of Tony Gordon storyline, in which she had to be kidnapped in the Underworld factory. For these scenes, she had to be tied to a chair with her hands tied behind her back and have her mouth gagged with gaffer tape. Of filming the scenes, she said "My wrist was sore at the end! It was a different experience anyway, acting for two weeks with your hands tied behind your back on a chair."" |

dg wrote: > Can anyone confirm that the scene featuring the Harleen > Quinn from the trailers made it into the final cut? That scene amounts to nothing more than her holding a belt between her teeth for 5 seconds. For completists only. As for other questions, she is strapped to a chair in prison type clothes. Her head is also strapped with the ball gag. It is very brief, but can't say I noticed feet |
Thursday August 04 15:39:58 2016 Re: Suicide Squad |
Terribly worded...her head is not strapped with the ball gag, obviously. Head is strapped back to chair (think janina Turner fatal error ) with the ball gag in place |

I'm super-broke these days and, given all the bad reviews this film is getting, it sounds like I can save the $13 I'd need to shell out to see it right away. |

The scene with the joker is almost non existent Since that role originally was supposed to be Alison Brie or Mila Kunis, the ballgag for Robbie is bittersweet news to me. I would so much rather see the other two sporting a ballgag. |

Thursday August 04 16:50:05 2016 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993) deleted scene? |
Hi. First time poster. This collectible card from the 3rd '90s Ninja Turtle movie seems to show April (Paige Turco) with her hands tied in front. That certainly looks like rope around her wrists, anyway. She is a prisoner of the bad guys for some of the movie and they do put her in a cage for a while but at no point is she tied up. A missed opportunity, just like the 2nd movie - where the villains don't hesitate to tie and tape-gag prisoners, but only if they're middle-aged professors or mutant turtles. Anyone ever heard of such a scene? Unfortunately the video releases only have deleted scenes for the 1st movie. |

Sorry about that. Not supposed to direct link to that location. It's here; scroll down a bit, it's card number 6. http://www.thetechnodrome.com/cards/set/Movie_3 |

That's news to me tape gags exist in the Star Wars universe. What does the scene describe? |
Thursday August 04 16:58:46 2016 Re: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993) deleted scene? |
Never heard of this scene. I'm with you on what a missed opportunity it was in the second movie that April didn't get bound and gagged, especially since at one point she gets captured and later could've easily been B&G to lure the Turtles out to fight, much like she frequently was in the cartoon series. At least both of the original live-action Aprils made up for their lack of B&G scenes in their respective TMNT movies years later when both got gagged with duct tape (Judith Hoag in Final Approach and Paige Turco in an episode of The Agency). |

Actually, in my efforts to find a linkable image for this I found exactly where the deleted scene scene should be. It's shown there on card number 24 - "Walker is suspicious". That appears to be the only trace of it, however. |

Would love it if Selena Gomez got a scene in this film. Something like shackels or a bit gag, like they should. |

The novelization of Braveheart (by the actual script writer of the film) mentions that Murren has her mouth gagged and stuffed with cloth and that the magistrate finds her glaring eyes unnerving. |

They don't call it duct tape but they describe it as some sort of fabric material for patching and fixing stuff in industrial, so basically yeah, duct tape. Darth Vader is taunting her about how he'll kill her Jedi boyfriend when he comes for her, she gets in some barbs at him, and he eventually gets tired of it and has one of the Stormtroopers seal her mouth shut. |
