Definitely true, her career should have been much better. Still, she was a favorite of mine. A few of my fav b/g scenes in 70's crap movies starred her. I thought for sure when she joined CA in Season 5 she'd be a lock to get a FT scene, the new girl, experienced, etc. Plus, they tied and gagged Shelley Hack in Season 4 as the new girl. Maybe if the show ran another season she would have gotten a FT. That said, wasn't she tied up in an episode of CA? Nothing in the database, but I thought she had something during Season 5. |

Wow, did that one make me "come to attention" back in the day. It gets pretty unrealistic soon after, with her (stuntwoman) climbing out of an elevator with her hands bound, but I sure did like that scene. |

Only TWO of the Angels were ever bound and gagged during the show's five seasons on the air. In fact, the show had very few episodes where actresses were bound and gagged, considering the fact that it was a crime drama, with imperiled women in every episode. It DID produce the iconic "Marathon Angels" episode, with two hot female runners bound and gagged in shorts for nearly the entirety of the episode. As the author of the original comment points out, the producers of the show could've bolstered the declining ratings by having the smoking hot Tanya Roberts bound and gagged in one or two episodes. It perplexes me that this didn't occur to them. I believe the show could've lasted into the mid- to late Eighties if there were two or three episodes with bound and gagged actresses each season. The short-lived She-Spies, a comedic knockoff of Charlie's Angels, had every member of its trio bound and gagged, some of them more than once. |

She-Spies lasted a year. Charlie's Angeles was a hit. It lasted several years. Had theatrical movies. With your reasoning, perhaps a show is better off with little bondage. |

I don't mind admitting i welled up when I heard the news on the radio today. Especially when her agent said she "was a sweet soul". An absolute stunner who seemed to join shows that were past their best, Charlie's Angels and Mike Hammer come to mind. Really hoped something would happen to her as Mike Hammers secretary as happened to Lindsey Bloom in series 1, not to be of course. RIP Tanya |
