| For movie afficionados, this scene is directly cribbed from the movie, "The Naked Prey" (1966), starring Cornell Wilde. Early in that film, his compatriots are captured by African cannibals, and some are bound, covered with mud and gagged with a wooden cylinder, then tied to a spit and roasted. One assumes that the hollow gag was to allow steam to vent! |
