I don't mind the face-paint, except that it makes their gags -- which are so snug and thin -- look potentially painted on. We know from that SyFy show that they can paint shadows and textures on skin pretty convincingly. Mind, I believe they are real, judging from how their lips are parted, and though the editing rushes past when they turn, you can sometimes catch a glimpse of fabric under their hair.
