The cause of this DID-situation apparently is rivalry between two ladies: The DID (guest actress) and the girl from the preceding scene (regular cast) are both interested in the same guy who runs a tavern at the beach. He notoriously refuses to choose between the two girls so one of them teams up with some friends and keeps the DID out of the way for a while. Actually this is episodio 41, but as I wrote some months earlier, each season of "MCA" (this is season 1 out of 9) is split into "episodios escolar" (= school) and "episodios ferias de verao" (= hollidays). All DID-scenes took place in "holliday"-episodes so far (six cleaves, one otm, one tape > perhaps there are more). |

Here was the setup. I remember it like yesterday (sad, I know). Cecile (Frangione) had kidnapped Cass (guy in the clip) earlier that season to prevent him from marrying Kathleen. This was payback. I picked up the original scene in progress with Cecile tape-gagged in the backseat of the car. She was hopped out of the car and into the back room, where a costume party was going on. Cass carried her in, then tossed her into the closet. When the scene resumed, Cass had Kathleen with him so Cecile could admit to his kidnapping. When he opened the closet, Cecile pops out untied and wearing a Victorian outfit. Scene over. Her freeing herself was never shown. Years later, I noticed Frank's Attic had some tapes for sale that included this scene. I bought it, and picked up the additional scene in Cecile's bedroom where Cass is tying and gagging her. It also included another scene in the backseat (all shown in the second, lesser quality clip). But there is clearly footage missing from the bedroom scene, both at the start and the finish, because Cass is cut off as he says "are you kidding." He's also shown tying her like the scene was already under way. |

Re: the Cass and Cecile scene from "Another World," there was a follow-up scene a few days later. Cecile and a couple of her (male) goons are in some sort of circus fun house when Cass captures her again. He puts her hands through the holes in one of those wooden things where you pose for photos and ties them in front of her. "Please don't," she says, "they hurt from the last time they were tied!" Amazing the things that stick in ones mind! |

Thanks for the info, probably one of those "oh shit look what's on" vcr moments where you were suddenly desperately searching for the record button. I found this clip from a 1986 pie fight scene where she is wearing an old fashioned costume and in the background you see some of the footmen in costume and the Cass dude appears to be wearing the same jacket. I assume this is after the DID action? She gets her head placed into a fake guillotine in this clip also. Now if we can just find the "before" action. |

I even asked on youtube for the earlier part from the poster on the page but got no response unfortunately. What's tough is the scene is likely sitting in full in some NBC warehouse. |
