It is an extremely difficult scene to locate. Many of us would love to view the video of this scene. I still recall where I was when I first watched this scene; I was at a party at my parents' friends' apartment in New York City. I was still in elementary school. |

Before anybody goes on a scavenger hunt trying to track down this scene, you should know that the Basinger bondage is even less than a blink-and-you-miss it. If my memory is correct (and its been 35 years since I've seen it), the segment with Shaw was pretty good, but the Basinger bondage was limited to a single shot from the back, as she is already in the process of being freed. There was an advertisement in TV Guide with a grainy black and white picture of a gagged woman, but I'm still not sure whether it was Shaw or Basinger. |

Fortunately, I'm a pack-rat from way back, and I never throw anything away-including interesting ads from 35 year old TV Guides. No scene from this angle was shown in the episode, and I'm still not sure that the pic is of Basinger. It could be of Jennifer Shaw, though she was a blonde also, or it could be from a publicity shoot done to advertise the episode. At any rate, as the other poster mentioned, the picture was better than anything in the episode. |

Later, she's seen on a bed cleave-gagged and with her hands tied to the headboard in an upper-half spreadeagle. Near the end of the episode, she's again B&G in the van but gets rescued this time by the good guys. |

She had the same outfit on when found by the male co-lead. The Shaw scene ended with Basinger finding her tape-gagged. These are the Basinger stills from the episode. She was never shown tape-gagged. This one actually occurred, and gave us a clear look at Michelle. As I recall (and we are testing my memory from more than 30 years ago again) she was held on a boat after being captured. This is another show that came and went before VCRs were widely available, and as far as I know, its never been shown since its initial run. Fortunately, Michelle had another good scene in "Charlie Chan and the Curse of the Dragon Queen". Kim Basinger's only other gag scene came in the atrocious "Mother Lode", in which she is covered in dirt and literally dragged through a mine shaft. |

| Cool pics! The question of whether Kim Bassinger was shown tapegagged in the episode has been around since Brian's Page existed even by those of us who recall the scene from our childhoods. The pic is definitely Kim Bassinger. I remember the cutoff jeans shorts, and Jennifer Shaw was wearing a white tennis outfit. I had the Shaw scene for several years and finally got rid of it along with all my old VHS tapes. I hope this finally puts it to rest. |

I think the mistake is actually in the database. In the six episodes which were actually broadcast, Michelle only had one gag scene, and it is white tape, not white cloth. Whoever put the second entry into the database mistook the tape for cloth and assumed a second scene. |
