| Given the disappointment with the recent General Hospital plotline (at least so far), he are a couple flashbacks to some of Sam's (Kelly Monaco) prior work. Record number: 13321 Title: General Hospital Medium: Soap Opera Actress: Kelly Monaco, Rebecca Herbst Description: Episode: February 25, 2008 - March 6, 2008 Sam (Kelly Monaco) was tied up several times along with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Nadine (Claire Coffee). The action begins with Sam fighting the killer in her apartment, then after attacking her from behind, she is tied up off screen. The first scene opens with the killer applying silver tape across Sam's mouth. She is tied up hands behind and ankles with rope. The killer carries her to the door, but another lady is outside. He carries her back to the couch and lays her on her back while he looks out the peephole. Sam is now sitting on the couch watching the killer when she eyes a vase on the table in front of her. Sam wriggles a bit, stands, turns then sits on the table where we see a good view of her bound hands. She tries to knock over the vase to attract attention. The killer catches the vase before it hits the floor, and Sam looks frustrated. The other lady leaves, and the killer again drags Sam to the door. The next scene occurs in a warehouse where Sam is loosely tied hands to chair arms with rope and still wearing the silver tape gag. The killer removes the gag quickly and tells her his plans to blow up the warehouse. He then places a time bomb in her lap, which has not been set, then leaves. Sam wriggles out of the ropes and escapes through a duct. She crawls right back to the same room, where the killer is waiting for her (he planned it that way). He shoves her into the door and ties her hands behind her back with duct tape. The killer goes back to Sam's apartment and is filling a duffel bag and as he opens the door to leave Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is on the other side. He handgags her and drags her into the apartment mmmphing. A bottle of chloroform is shown in a closeup as one of the items he is stuffing into the bag. The next scene is a blinkie as the killer closes the trunk of a car with a bound, gagged and chloroformed Sam inside. Elizabeth is in the back seat handcuffed by her left wrist above the door also knocked out. There is a shootout as a cop attempts to stop the killer outside of the apartment where we see a sleeping Sam inside the trunk. A lead in shot from the commercial break shows a closeup of her gagged face as she awakens during the shootout and another quick full body shot. The killer backs up the car and knocks out the cop then drives off with his 2 captives. The killer is now driving on a snowy road as we get a closeup of Elizabeth's handcuffed arm. She awakens and realizes she is handcuffed and is a captive of the killer. She struggles furiously with the handcuff. We see a full body pan of Sam in the trunk from her feet upward showing her ankles are tied with several loops of rope as she is struggling. Elizabeth attacks the killer with her free arm, he loses control of the car, and ends up teetering halfway off the side of a bridge. Elizabeth finds the keys to the handcuffs and unlocks herself. As she is trying to get out of the car she hears Sam mmmphing in the trunk and tries to get to her. We see a full shot of Sam b&g in the trunk. We see Sam trying to remove the duct tape around her wrists as Elizabeth is rescued. Sam frees her hands then rips the tape off her mouth saying a quiet "ow" and unties the ropes around her ankles. She climbs out of the trunk and is rescued shortly after the car goes over the edge leaving her hanging on the side of the bridge. Sam is wearing a blue jacket and black pants tucked into knee high boots. Elizabeth is wearing light color pants and a white pea coat. Nadine is wearing a pink hoodie, jeans and tennis shoes. | And we're BACK! Sorry it took me so long, everyone. I didn't mean to leave the 4K Zoom-a-thon in such a cliffhanger. Thankfully, the destroyed hard drive was a blessing in disguise; I needed a breather, and this time away from editing actually allowed me to improve my color correction skills. Some files have been lost forever, but the important stuff is safe and sound, so expect many more awesome edits (as long as I don't destroy another hard drive...). Anyway, here's the lowest-voted scene in the 4K Poll. I honestly expected it to score much higher on the list, given its legendary status among the DiD community and its countless fan remakes on YT, but, of course, poor Michelle Monaghan couldn't stand a chance against the current mega-star power of Gal Gadot and Margot Robbie. Still, it remains one of my favorite DiD scenes of all time, and I still remember witnessing it in theaters for the first time, thirteen years ago. The scenes are mostly well-lit, so I didn't have to do much on the color correction front. However, there is a big surprise here: for the very first time, the DiD content is presented IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER!!! This means that the clip actually begins with Keri Russell strapped to a chair, plus that flashback where she assembles a gun while blindfolded, for completist reasons (Keri looks especially hot in thermal imaging, as you can see). Then, the Monaghan goodness begins, and the interrogation scene is actually flowing as a complete sequence, rather than being in two parts. How did I do it? Well, it took hours and HOURS of editing trickery to splice the two parts of the scene together, analyzing each shot frame-by-frame. Some shots of the first part would have the mmmmphs louder in the audio mix, while some shots of the second part would have a few more seconds of fake Julia gagged. I managed to put together the definitive "breed" of the scene, where no DiD frame is wasted and no second of mmmphing is cut. Even when all you see is Ethan and Davian talking, you can still hear her breathing and crying through the gag in the background. Even the movie's actual editors would be proud! Other small enhancements include a bit of stabilization (I had forgotten about the annoying shaky-cam that all mid-2000's action movies suffered from) and a bit of sharpening in some scenes where the damsels are out of focus. I tried my best, but a few shots were just too blurry, so you'll have to use your imagination for that. Plus, the added stabilization allows you to see real Julia jiggle her breasts while struggling B&G. I plan to take a break from 4K scenes, as they require a lot of work. Instead, I plan to fill some requests and focus on some lesser-known and hard to find scenes. The first Charlie's Angels movie will be out in 4K next month, so it will definitely be in my next 4K Poll. There was nothing of note in the Blu-ray bonus features or commentaries, as far as I can remember.
